N.Y. Imam's Name Appeared in Iraq Papers

WASHINGTON - Documents found by American troops at a terrorist camp in Iraq last year contained the name of a New York mosque imam now facing federal charges of plotting to obtain a shoulder-fired grenade launcher, law enforcement officials said Friday. An entry in an address book found by the soldiers at an Ansar al-Islam camp last summer in northern Iraq referred to Yassin Aref as "the commander" and included his address and telephone number in Albany, N.Y., the officials said.

Although Aref had come to the FBI's attention before the address book's discovery, two law enforcement officials speaking on condition of anonymity said it was a strong indication that Ansar al-Islam - which the United States has linked to the al-Qaida network - had a presence in the United States. The officials insisted on anonymity because the information is not yet officially public.

Holy War? Absolutely!

The recent coordinated attacks upon seven Churches in Iraq should wake us up. The Muslim Fundamentalists are literally going by the numbers from specific commands of the Koran and the Hadith.

As I have said on so many occasions, the ‘Fundamentalists’ are not the miss-guided fanatics. They are the true exponents of the core teachings of the Koran, the Hadith and the examples of Mohammad.

Here are a few of the verses from the Koran that are the basis of historic interpretations concerning waging “Jihad.” You will note that all Muslims are obligated to wage “holy war” against the unbeliever (infidel) until the world is subjected to Islam. They are exhorted to give the unbelievers a chance to repent and embrace Islam. If they do not, then they can be killed or subjected to a subservient status and charged heavy taxes.

Koran 9.5-6, “So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (9.6) “And if one of the idolaters seek protection from you, grant him protection till he hears the word of Allah, then make him attain his place of safety; this is because they are a people who do not know.”

These verses underscore the obligation, especially after the time of intense spiritual contemplation called “the sacred months”, to seek to spread submission to Islam by Jihad or “Holy War.” This is in keeping with Mohammad’s teaching that the world is divided by Allah into only two groups – Dar al Islam, the ‘house of peace” and Dar al Harb, the “house of war.” All who live outside the rule of Muslim government are in the permanent “house or region of war.”

Koran 9.29, “Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book (Bible), until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”

Again, this verse emphasizes the infidel is to be subjected by force. If they continue to resist, they are to be executed. Special note is made of the responsibility of those who have the Bible, i.e., Jews and Christians.

Koran 4:76, “Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan (Satan). Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan; surely the strategy of the Shaitan is weak.

This verse demonizes all who are non-Muslims as friends of Satan. This gives authorization for the most extreme violent means of dealing with them.

Koran 4:78, “Have you not seen those to whom it was said: Withhold your hands, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate; but when fighting is prescribed for them, lo! A party of them fear men as they ought to have feared Allah, or (even) with a greater fear, and say: Our Lord! Why hast Thou ordained fighting for us? Wherefore didst Thou not grant us a delay to a near end? Say: The provision of this world is short, and the hereafter is better for him who guards (against evil); and you shall not be wronged the husk of a date stone.”

This verse powerfully indicts any Muslim who isn’t willing to fight in the “Jihad.” The Muslims that our leaders call the “true Muslims” are condemned by this verse. The Fundamentalists can and do put a guilt trip on them that forces them to either go fight or to financially support those who do.

There are numerous other verses that teach the same doctrine of spreading the Muslim faith by “Jihad.” But the important fact is how leading Muslim theologians understood and taught them.

Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani (d. AD 996), a revered Islamic theologian who taught in the prestigious Malikis school, which was one of the for recognized schools of Muslim jurisprudence, wrote:

"Jihad is a precept of Divine institution. Its performance by certain individuals may dispense others from it. We Malikis maintain that it is preferable not to begin hostilities with the enemy before having invited the latter to embrace the religion of Allah except where the enemy attacks first. They have the alternative of either converting to Islam or paying the poll tax (jizya), short of which war will be declared against them. "

Another respected theologian, Al-Mawardi (d. AD 1058), wrote;

"The mushrikun [infidels] of Dar al-Harb (the arena of battle) are of two types: First, those whom the call of Islam has reached, but they have refused it and have taken up arms. The Amir of the army has the option of fighting them … in accordance with what he judges to be in the best interest of the Muslims and most harmful to the mushrikun … Second, those whom the invitation to Islam has not reached, although such persons are few nowadays since Allah has made manifest the call of his Messenger … it is forbidden to … begin an attack before explaining the invitation to Islam to them, informing them of the miracles of the Prophet and making plain the proofs so as to encourage acceptance on their part; if they still refuse to accept after this, war is waged against them and they are treated as those whom the call has reached (and therefore put to death if they do not convert to Islam) ..."

Ibn Khaldun (d. AD 1406), one of Islam’s most renowned teachers of Koranic law, historian and sociologist, summarized these consensus opinions from five centuries of Islam’s best Theologians regarding the Islamic institution of “Jihad”:

"In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the [Muslim] mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force ... The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense ... Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations."

These authoritative Theologians reflect what has been the standard understanding of spreading Islam by “holy war.”

Here are some modern Muslim Theologians who show that this official Muslim view of “holy war” is still in force. Please study these quotes carefully. The survival the United States depends upon Americans waking up to their meaning and implications.

Two contemporary Muslim scholars of Jihad make it clear what is the religion’s understanding of “holy war” today.

The late Khadduri Majid write in 1955:

"Thus the jihad may be regarded as Islam’s instrument for carrying out its ultimate objective by turning all people into believers, if not in the prophethood of Muhammad (as in the case of the dhimmis), at least in the belief of God. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have declared “some of my people will continue to fight victoriously for the sake of the truth until the last one of them will combat the anti-Christ.”

"Until that moment is reached the jihad, in one form or another will remain as a permanent obligation upon the entire Muslim community. It follows that the existence of a dar al-harb is ultimately outlawed under the Islamic jural order; that the dar al-Islam permanently under jihad obligation until the dar al-harb is reduced to non-existence; and that any community accepting certain disabilities must submit to Islamic rule and reside in the dar al-Islam or be bound as clients to the Muslim community. The universality of Islam, in its all-embracing creed, is imposed on the believers as a continuous process of warfare, psychological and political if not strictly military."

Bassam Tibi wrote in 1996:

"Thus the jihad may be regarded as Islam’s instrument for carrying out its ultimate objective by turning all people into believers, if not in the prophethood of Muhammad (as in the case of the dhimmis), at least in the belief of God. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have declared “some of my people will continue to fight victoriously for the sake of the truth until the last one of them will combat the anti-Christ.” Until that moment is reached the jihad, in one form or another will remain as a permanent obligation upon the entire Muslim community … The universality of Islam, in its all-embracing creed, is imposed on the believers as a continuous process of warfare, psychological and political if not strictly military.

These are the doctrines that true Muslims believe. They are the heart and core of the Faith Mohammad preached and the Koran and Hadith records."

The reason the terrorists attacked the Christian Churches in Iraq is because that is what they are suppose to do in a Jihad. The main reason that we are being attacked by Muslim Fundamentalists from all over the world is because we are considered to be the bastion of Judeo-Christian civilization.

We are in a fight for our survival in a war we did not choose are initiate. We are part of what these true Muslims believe is the Dar al Harb – the House of War. We will continue to be looked upon as that until we are either destroyed or made to submit to Islamic rule.

The sooner we get this message and believe it, the sooner we can devise a strategy to win this war. Otherwise, we fighting blindly at an enemy we don’t recognize and understand. And time is running out for us to get the message.

And what is truly terrifying is that the liberals of this country are even farther out in la la land than the present government.

Sometimes when you know something it is best just to watch. By just watching you can learn more. You can learn who contacts them, than follow the contact. Than who does the contact contact? Than follow them, so on and so on. That way you can learn a lot more. In order to find the hidden ones you let the ones you know about lead you to them. I would bet that there are many that we are watching and waiting to make our move on, all in due time. One must wait for the cake to bake before taking it from the oven.

This guy was probably "a commander" before the first gulf war. After that Saddam reformed and didn't consort with terrorists. Saddam actually wasn't a bad guy, he won close to 100% of the vote and gave many rights to women... :)

You are right what was I thinking? He also gave FREE cosmetic surgery to those who found that they looked funny with "ears", or with "hands". And his weight loss program of throwing a person into a shredder feet first had wonderful results, those people lost a lot of unneeded pounds.
