Courthouse Employees Hunt Ghost
New Security System Captures Haunting Images

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- The word "ghost" is hot on the lips of Kent County Court House employees.

A new $75,000 security system installed July 1 hasn't caught any criminals, but it did capture some haunting images of what appears to be a strange light "walking" in one stairwell.

"It didn't show up to the eye, but it showed up on tape," said security officer Phillip Price.

Security personnel first saw the light while looking at a surveillance tape recorded July 29, and it appeared live for more than an hour the next day.

After noticing the light, Price walked up the stairs and didn't see a thing. But downstairs, where by then a crowd of employees had gathered to watch, the video monitor revealed the strange light proceeding ahead of Price, stopping when he stopped and starting when he started.

At one point, those watching the video feed saw Price walk through the anomaly, they said. That was about the time that Price said he felt something.

I think txflake means Flight 93, the airplane that crashed into the Pennsylvania countryside on 9/11/01. I remember reading stories about the strange incidents there.

While no phenomena is 'off limits' to science.
We remain skeptical about everything.

Thanks for the info .... I'll have to look into it. I work with a guy from Jersey. I'll ask him if he is familiar with this school. Where in Jersey is it? He's from somewhere near Hohokus.

That's ok. I've been curious as to why we've heard of nothing spooky going on at the other crash sites.

Hmmm, of course, I'm still waiting for Princess Di's ghost, too.

I'm not really sure that I believe in ghosts but it sure is fun reading about them. :)

A man speaking in my native tongue always does that to me.

A linguist Freeper once told me that 'when Irish (gaelic) is spoken, nightingales sing.

I thought that almost as poetic as the language itself. :-)

Indeed, very few do speak Gaelic.
Although, I have a 'fáinne óir'. (It's a gold ring, indicating I'm a fluent Gaelic speaker).

In Ireland, Gaelic is mandatory, and thoughout primary and secondary school.
I've always loved the language.
It's quite beautiful.

Hmmm.... I believe that only about 20,000 people in Ireland alone speak Gaelic. I ran into a guy from Dublin a few years ago and greeted him in Gaelic. He didn't know what the hell I was talking about... I know that Dublin is not exactly the hotbed of the old language, but I at least expected him to know some Gaelic. Hell, you go into Dingle and other areas of the Southwest and everyone knows the language.

Tried to learn it once, was reading a ghost story about a certain horse drawn coach.
If you follow it, it supposedly leads you into a tree or rock wall.

Been years since then, and haven't continued it since.
I was 6 or so at the time, and the books I studied were old at the time.
I'm now 29, and honestly don't remember a durn thing I learned.

Ouch.
Out in the 'countryside' you probably will run into the Gaelic speakers.

One of the best!!! BTW... I have to say that although much of my family is from other areas of the country, Killarney is where my heart lies.
