Rudder Hard Over..
Two things are clear: the media is making a smoke screen out of this, and the veteran stands squarley behind, and supports the recent ad, he stands behind all of the word he said in that ad, and he wants that ad to keep running.

Uffta, no wonder I'm getting a headache with all the flip-flopping, LOL

The signed affidavit can be seen below. "Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in today's edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. Needless to say, I'm very dissappointed in FOX lately.
Nam Vet
I have never sent so many emails to them! Earlier, I sent one th Ailes.
I think they are trying to be provacative and edgy. I don't think they give a damn if you watch because you agree or if you having apoplexy: all that matters are the numbers. Still, this sort of reporting is carrying water for Kerry.
If one more FNC news staff calls F'n an *indisputable* hero, I may just destroy the set!
The contrast between the way the media reported the allegations about Geo. W. Bush's National Guard service (half-truths and inuendos, incessantly, for weeks!), and they way they're reporting this swift boat vets' story ("discredit it as quickly as possible"), makes me sick to my stomach.
And what the heck is going on with DRUDGE??? I just tried to get him on my BOOKMARK. He's not there. Anybody else having the same problem? Have we already been taken over? ( :
There is a concerted effort to shoot this story down. Can anyone venture a guess as to what is going on behind the scenes. Fear of legal action doesn't work for me.
"Surely they must know that their success is absolutely because they stood alone in honest reporting. If they lose that, they will lose their audience too."
I just sent an email to: roger.ailes@ foxnews.com
Told him if Fox keeps looking more and more like CNN, then they will lose lots of viewers.
Maybe this has something to do with it. Maybe not. Who knows.

Fox News filled the market vacuum created when CNN replaced Al-Jazeera as the preeminent terrorist network.
This is the most hysterical thread I have read in a long time.
I emailed and called. I am furious.

Voice message on correcting Fox errors.
I gave them a mouthful
The last 2 days on Fox have been unbelievable. O'Reilly, Shep, and a few of the day time people are treating these Swift Vets like they have cooties.
How come they aren't credible? I honestly see no difference in their bona fides (Band of Brothers vs. Swift Vets), other than Swift(s)are saying Kerry lied.
Come on Fox, let US decide. Sheesssh
A danger problem which often results in a fatal crash.
The Senator is no hero. These SwiftBoat veterans are HEROS.
The other networks have lost viewers because of the liberal bias (Lies) they spun. Does Fox feel itself immune?
They are wrong, if so. To date they have been the only option available. While not conservative they did allow the truth to be heard. If truth ceases to be heard their need to exist evaporates.
I've lived without TV news for years. It isn't hardship to live without it again.
My advice: cut Fox News Channel a huge break. They have to walk on infinitely fine egg shells right now to avoid even the smidgen of an appearance of a likelihood of being in President Bush's pocket. Particularly on this highly charged Presidential election issue. The safe, prudent thing for them to do is to report the same as the liberal media right now. It is not the time for Fox News Channel to go to bat on a questionable issue.
For them to stick their necks out, they've got to be 100% certain of being right and the liberal media of being wrong.
It's PC hysteria. Fox is not immune. O'Reilly has what looks to be close to a terminal dose.
