I switched to Firefox last night. It works much faster than IE for me and no POP ups at all.

Microsoft is the best and I'll be damned if I go anywhere else. I will stick with them until the day that I die. And then if I get to heaven, I'll keep on using Microsoft products. If I go to hell, it will be a moot issue because they will be running Mac and Unix boxes there and there will be absolutely nothing I can do about it because, after all, I'll be damned.

What does it do in those cases where the web site is trying to force a pop up window based on the user selection?

Pop-ups? What is "pop-up"?

Oh, yeah - I remember them before I loaded the Google toolbar, them annoying little screens that appeared. I had almost forgot.

Thanks for the memory.

Do secure sites recognize its security? I usually used Opera when I am on Free Republic, becaus it can handle multiple windows on one browser session. If I try to log into my bank's wesite or Yahoo! mail website, I get a message saying that my browser is not compatible.

I received my first pop-up ad on Mozilla today. Hope it was a straggler but there it was after 4 months of being pop-up free.
