What does it do in those cases where the web site is trying to force a pop up window based on the user selection?

What does it do in those cases where the web site is trying to force a pop up window based on the user selection? You can ctrl-click on the link to get a pop-up to display, or something like that.

My web site uses a user called popup to display photos. Firefox does not interfere with those. It only blocks popups called by scripts within the html page. It does not interfere with the "target=" standard html command. These are activated by a mouse user click and are assumed to be wanted windows. It does block the mouseover popups and javascript popup windows. It has made surfing foxsports endurable for me again, as they always have some stupid poll popup that hangs half way through.
FWIW, here's a link to the symantec security site, that will scan your PC or Mac for virus vulnerabilities and spyware.
