Kerry's Christmas in Cambodia

KERRY'S CHRISTMAS IN CAMBODIA [08/06 11:39 AM]

This is from Unfit for Command, the new book by John O'Neill, the man who took over John Kerry's Swift Boat, and co-author Jerome Corsi:

Kerry also described, for example, for the Boston Herald his vivid memories of his Christmas Eve spent in Cambodia: "I remember spending Christmas Eve of 1968 five miles across the Cambodian border being shot at by our South Vietnamese allies who were drunk and celebrating Christmas. The absurdity of almost being killed by our own allies in a country in which President Nixon claimed there were no American troops was very real."

Problem One: Nixon hadn't taken office yet.

Problem Two: "During Christmas 1968, he was more than fifty miles away from Cambodia. Kerry was never ordered into Cambodia by anyone and would have been court-martialed had he gone there. During Christmas 1968, Kerry was stationed at Coastal Division 13 in Cat Lo. Coastal Division 13’s patrol areas extended to Sa Dec, about fifty-five miles from the Cambodian border...

All the living commanders in Kerry’s chain of command—Joe Streuhli (Commander of CosDiv 13), George Elliott (Commander of CosDiv 11), Adrian Lonsdale (Captain, USCG and Commander, Coastal Surveillance Center at An Thoi), Rear Admiral Roy Hoffmann (Commander, Coastal Surveillance Force Vietnam, CTF 115), and Rear Admiral Art Price (Commander of River Patrol Force, CTF 116)—deny that Kerry was ever ordered to Cambodia...

At least three of the five crewmen on Kerry’s PCF 44 boat—Bill Zaldonis, Steven Hatch, and Steve Gardner—deny that they or their boat were ever in Cambodia. The remaining two crewmen declined to be interviewed for this book.

The Cambodia incursion story is not included in Tour of Duty [the book on Kerry's war years by Douglas Brinkley]. Instead, Kerry replaces the story with a report about a mortar attack that occurred on Christmas Eve 1968 “near the Cambodia border” in a town called Sa Dec, some fifty-five miles from the Cambodian border.

Somehow, Kerry’s secret illegal mission to Cambodia, which he recounted on the floor of the U.S. Senate in 1986, is now a firefight at Sa Dec and a Christmas day spent back at the base writing entries in his journal.

Unless O'Neill and Corsi have made some major error in their reporting, this is pretty stunning. Either Kerry is a pathological liar, or every man in his chain of command is.

Kerry'a manifestations are similar to Clintoon recalling the churches burning in Arkansas- but the press never really caring that there were no churches burning.. it's the seriousness of the recall! Reporters for the Dems only report what is said to them- if we deny that it is truth- we are ATTACKING them....

A revealing incident about John Kerry that shows what this man’s character is about is the section in John Kerry’s autobiography about Christmas in Cambodia 1968. During that time Cambodia was a neutral country and it was a violation of international law to conduct operations and wage a war in Cambodian territory. Kerry tells a story in great detail in his autobiography “Tour of Duty” about being sent to conduct operations in Cambodia on Christmas Eve 1968. He later tells the same tale on the floor of the Senate. During the telling of this Christmas tale about being ordered to conduct illegal operations in Cambodia in 1968 he demonizes Richard Nixon. He was a young lieutenant following orders from an immoral Commander in Chief and his superior officers that passed the order on to Lt. Kerry. He knew it was wrong but dutifully followed orders. He goes on to claim that this incident was a turning point in his life. It was an incident that led him to oppose Richard Nixon and the entire Viet Nam War.

There are two flaws in this story. The first flaw in the story is the steadfast denial by any member of Kerry’s unit that they ever got within fifty miles of Cambodia. The revealing fact about Kerry’s character is while he demonized Nixon for ordering him to conduct the illegal operation on Christmas Eve 1968; Richard Nixon would not take office for three more weeks. Lyndon Johnson was President of the United States on December 25th 1968.

Do you think there is a possibility that John Kerry will make an apology to his superior officers, to his Senate colleagues and correct his denunciation of Richard Nixon? Probably not, John Kerry is a liar and an opportunist.

I think Kerry has convinced himself that the version of events included in his home movies and in his ghostwritten book are the way things actually happened. Through constant repetition and re-viewing, they have supplanted his actual memories. When he recounts the fictionalized versions, he is not lying, because this is what he really thinks happened.

Even without minimal investigation, a critical press should have been able to spot the story as a total fabrication: Richard Nixon did not become president of the United States until twenty-six days after John Kerry’s Christmas in Cambodia.

Oh, yeah. Of course it is not the truth. I was just saying that John F'n is not really lying because he has no idea what the truth is! He could probably pass a any polygraph you threw at him, because he has completely deluded himself.

Kerry also described, for example, for the Boston Herald his vivid memories of his Christmas Eve spent in Cambodia:

Kranish, in The Boston Globe, also mentions Kerry going into Cambodia.

To top it off, Kerry said, he had gone several miles inside Cambodia, which theoretically was off limits, prompting Kerry to send a sarcastic message to his superiors that he was writing from the Navy's "most inland" unit.

He is much worse than an opportunist. This type of machinations are pathological. I firmly believe that his whole purpose in going to VN for four months was to try to find "war crimes". when none were eveident, he created them, either in his mind or by his own hand. then returns to become a hero in the Hate American movement. Hilliary was helping the black Panthers, Bill was running around in Eu. These people now have control of the Dumocrat Party. It truely is a good vs evil election.

Well the difference is that this time, the men that fought the VN War are speaking up. they have every right to be heard, just as much as the 9-11 Families.

They have been defamed and slandered by this worthless gigilo. But, don't ever underestimate, TAHRAAAsa money or the idiot media.
