Per Drudge, WTVG 13-ABC, Toledo is the only station so far to flat out refuse to air the Swift Boat ad. Management at the station is citing today's Boston Globe article as reason not to air the aid!

TV Station WTVG 13-ABC, Toledo, Ohio dropped the anti-Kerry vet ad on Friday after the Kerry campaign used the GLOBE/Kranish story to convince the station's management the ad was false.

I live in their service area and see their crappy local news, so I wasn't too suprised to see them cave to the Kerry thugs (this is Marcy Kaptur's home, after all).

I called the station and spoke with a manager named Lisa James. She was curt, refused to answer questions, and hung up on me.

It must be working. Call now. :)

I heard through various internet pages that you decided to cancel the airing of the anti-Kerry ad from the Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth.

Did you run any ads from the scurrilous folks from MoveOn.org? They have said some nasty and unfair things about President Bush, and I hope if you gave them or other questionable liberal groups freedom to post their messages, that you would believe enough in the First Amendment to at least be fair and let both sides have their say.

As a conservative it is frustrating to see the omissions, the deceit, and the crass promotion of Democrats by the mainstream media while Republicans are discounted, minimalized, and trashed on a daily basis.

Thanks a lot for considering my point of view - and as you will see in November, that of a majority of Americans, who want fair and balanced opportunities for both sides of the national debate. Hope all else is great at your station!

Tony, since you live in their broadcast area, would you be willing to write a brief letter to the major newspaper in your area relating your experience as well as your concern over the censure of the ad? It might alert others in your area and get a REAL PRESSURE going to change this curt station manager's views.

My local paper is the Findlay Courier, generally pro-Republican. The major Toledo paper is, of course, the ultra-lib Toledo Blade.
