Saundra, there is a True Hollywood Story episode you must see. It will help you understand Rick James (and this thread.) Well, actually, it's Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Story. And actually, it may only be funny to those who already know of Rick James but you still should see it because it is great.
Well, maybe now Rick James can put his feet up on the couch. Hopefully, he has crossed that line to heaven.

He has to handle it with respect because he was an icon in the community and you wouldn't mock him in death, would be bad taste.

I used to love watching
The Job.
I can't tell you how disappointed I was when they canceled that show, especially considering some of the other dreck that TV execs greenlight as network programming in an almost pro forma manner.

But Neil left right after for the U.S., met Stephen Stills somewhere, had his address in L.A., went there to look for him, and as legend has it, Stills was driving around, saw Neil standing on a corner looking lost, picked him up and invited him to join his new band. IIRC Stills was driving along and happened to notice Young's trademark '57 Cadillac hearse passing by in the other direction. (Young had used the hearse back east to haul his band's equipment around, at the time he and Stills first met each other. It was roomy enough to be an ideal band van, but it was actually more famous for breaking down on highways on the way to gigs.) Stills promptly turned around, caught up with Young, and the rest is history...

If you haven't seen "Rescue Me", see it!. It alternates between morbid intensity and hillarious.

Sounds hilarious!
I think that Leary and his wife have even written a memoir, though I can't recall the title at this particular moment.
