Tim Russert shot Campbell Brown's lame attempt to defend Kerry out of the water. He said the issue that Kerry tried to seize from Bush has backfired and the President is stronger than ever. On another thread someone posted a partial transcript from a Kerry appearance on Larry King Live sometime after the 9/11 attacks. Kerry said something like a bunch of them were in Daschle's office (I think), when the first and second planes hit. They sat -- unable to think (I forget the exact phrasing) -- until they "saw" (one poster suggested "With binoculars?") the plane hit the Pentagon, some 35 to 40 minutes later. Talk about rapid response!
