Little did I know that I would enjoy using their own imagery and ideas against them. What utter Bullshit

Screw the Left using Concert Halls and Arenas to propogate their false philosophies.

I always enjoyed Pink Floyd's music, but I recently heard that they're just another brick in the commie wall. They'll never get a dime from me.

Didn't they try this with Tommy?
This is going to flop. Big time.

Now we know the real reason why Roger Waters has been wailing in the news about tearing down the security "wall" in Israel: it's simply a publicity stunt to promote his new Broadway show.
The Left is always happy to profit off the suffering of others.

What's funny is that that last time it was performed was after the fall of the Berlin Wall fell. Waters had quipped that the only time he'd consider performing it again was if the Berlin Wall came down. I suspect he, like all the leftists in the 1980s, considered that like saying, "When it snows in Hell." But he did go through with it. Too bad he didn't learn anything from that Wall.

man I hate pink floyd.
now if they were making "rock and roll highschool" the broadway play, that i would go see!

Agreeing. Concert Halls and Stadiums are Dionysian events which too many use to fund their causes ( huge money)and mislead idealistic attendees. I would rather have the fess up and admit they are pacifists but no they cloak it in all this BS all the way to the bank.

That'll probably happen some day.
Broadway seems to just be adapting old movies and tv shows for the stage or else recasting Broadway hits with movie and tv stars/has beens.
They took Charles Griffith's Little Shop of Horrors away from Roger Corman. I kept waiting for them to follow up with an all singing/all dancing version of Charles Griffith's Deathrace 2000.

I thought I would have to be the first to admit he thinks Pink Floyd is pure genius (the music, not this Broadway thing which is a guaranteed flop)
To: Helms
not sure how much "false philophy" ther eis in The Wall. Most of it is about how public schools are a brain washing facility and the idol worship in our popular culture is unhealthy. Sounds like pretty good philosphy to me.

I'll stand up for the band.
Current politics aside, excellent music by both Waters and the original line up. Great headphone material.
Great stageshow - saw the WALL in LA.
Ok movie and was one of the first that I could follow and understand in cinematic terms. I saw it just when I had enough film experience to understand what was going on with the editing and cinematography.
I'd go see it on stage.

Yeah, I agree. David Gilmour is an excellent guitarist.
Roger Waters is a crybaby. I saw Floyd's Division Bell concert in '94 and it was great. The Wall, on the other hand...some of the songs on that album were ok but my favorite will always be DSofTM.

Sadly, a lot of Gilour's guitar parts for Floyd were sped up. I was a little deflated when I heard that.
