The Air America station on 1240 AM in the Sacramento, CA area seems to have gone AWOL this morning. I listen to it every morning and evening for comic relief.
Does anyone have any information as to the possible cause? I sort of miss the mindless comedy...
I am sure when the story comes out it will be a good one!
It was freaky this morning. I hopped in my car, braced myself, and heard the faint signal of a Christian prayer...
Oh the irony!
by the way if you try airamerica.com you get:
>>Welcome to the Paintball Division of Air America, Inc.
The World's Finest Paintball Air Systems
They missed out on getting that domain name. Wonder if they'll try to buy it off them? Nope, AAR is at airamericaradio.com where it says: NOW on 15 STATIONS
(and Rush has...400? 1000? :) )
they crawled back into ABCCBSNBCCNBCCNN & PUBLIC RADIO & TV
Maybe they all got detention and had to stay after school.
a frequency search on radio-locator.com brought up:
KFRN 1280 AM Long Beach, CA Religious
maybe them...so the AM 1280 in Sacramento's transmitter
faw down and go boom?
lol
And oddly enough, Rush doesn't have to *pay* those stations to carry him. In fact, companies pay Rush to let them advertise during his program. Imagine that!
oops!Scratch that--you said the Sacramento station was on 1240 AM not 1280, my bad
you might have been getting:
Info Call Sign Frequency City School Format
KEZY 1240 AM San Bernardino, CA Religious
or
KJOP 1240 AM Lemoore, CA Religious
Poke it with a pointed stick and see if it moves
The link is nonfunctional.
Too funny!
You'll get over it.
One of the best features of XM Satellite Radio is the ability to remove stations from your dial.
Of course with Jenny G poking it at anytime would be extremely unpleasant.
I still haven't found an explanation, and they are still off the air.
Every morning and evening? You must be immune to DITS or else your family is ready to Baker Act you.
With only 15 stations, they don't even need a database
to list them--put 'em on index page or a separate one.
As it is, they're grasping at straws; WSNH AM 900 in
Nashua NH was supposedly THINKING of signing up so their page proudly said: Coming soon: WSNH 900 Nashua, NH
And they never did! But there it was.
I just read this week that Al Franken's Radio Show is going to be televised like Imus in the Morning; on the Sundance Network. For real, the Sundance Network. ROFLOL!!
Heah, you can listen to Tom Sullivan on KFBK 1530 in Sac, where Rush got his start.
Their supply of "irrelevant topics" has just about been depleted.....HA!!
