Hacking pinglist--if you want on or off, Freepmail me!
You have to give the guys credit. They did the right thing.
It's too bad Scott Peterson doesn't have a couple of brothers like this.
Good for them. It must have been so hard for them to do this, but they did the right thing.
This confession ought to stick, even if it did occur in a mental hospital. I'd still like to know, if that PO box was his and or how long he had the alias.
Is is common practice for people to be admitted under alias'?
Those brothers did the right thing. As a parent, I can imagine they are grieving for the loss of the son they thought they had. To do the right thing does not mean doing the easy thing. I pray God helps both families through this time and the familes can stand together drawing comfort from God and each other.
Mark Hacking, 28, also repeatedly strayed from his church's teachings and hid his secret life from his wife, this week's People magazine reports. His friends told the magazine the burly Mormon also drank alcohol, which is forbidden by the religion, and smoked cigarettes, another taboo.
The magazine reports that Hacking was sent to Canada on a mission several years ago but was sent home because of the sexual relationship. "That's definitely against the rules," said Scott Simpson, a fellow missionary.
(snip!)
A clerk at Maverick told People that Mark stopped by the store several times a week to buy cigarettes.
In another video shot four hours later, Mark Hacking returns to the store alone and is seen examining his hands, CBS News reported.
But Hacking's lawyer, Gil Athay, told CBS, "If you pump gasoline, you sniff your hands. There's nothing unusual about that videotape." Source
Yes, they show a lot of character. That's almost a rarity in these times.
If the man couldn't abide by the teachings of his religion, he should have opted out and drank, smoked and seduced to his heart's content. by lying to his wife, his family and puttting up this charade, he led himself to this crime. I have no pity for him.
It's actually too bad Scott Peterson exists, much less has brothers!!!
Actually, he sounds like the quintessential Democrat.
< It's too bad Scott Peterson doesn't have a couple of brothers like this. >
Which begs the question: It was purported that Scott Peterson had his brother's driver's license the night he was picked up for murder and that this brother has the bleached hair and goatee like Scott had at that time. I've seen nothing about this "brother" since.
I was hoping this would happen. They done good.
I absolutely give them and their family credit. By all reports this is a good family; and the fact that they never came out decrying any injustice against 'the husband' or insisting on his 'innocence'; and at this point, still have not tried to make excuses for him; is a huge relief.
Son, notwithstanding, the response. . .the support maintained by Scott Petersen's family is neither admirable nor reasonable. IMHO!
If Scott gets the chair, do his siblings get his insurance policy?
Guess he never thought about what Lori was feeling as he killed her. Punk had to kill her in her sleep or she'd have had a chance to fight back. He needs to fry.
I think they told him about all the evidence. They just want the body. An autopsy will give the conclusions.
Has Mark made a statement to the police repeating his confession?
So far, I don't think so. If he has, they haven't told the media.
