The Siwft Boat Veterans are going to chisel away at Kerry as well. ANY publicity on that topic will be bad for Kerry. No way he can tout his service record as a positive and turn around and attack other veterans and it result anything but bad for Kerry.

McCain has denounced the ad, Bushies have distanced themselves from it, and the media is reporting that none of those men actually served on the boat with Kerry. But none of that matters, as with Willie Horton, when an issue is TRUE it will have an impact. And the Swift Boat ad campaign will have an impact. It doesn't even have to air on TV. People across the land are emailing it to their friends and colleagues and one can almost hear the collective gasp as America wakes up to the fraud that is John Forbes Kerry.

Kerry is going around pledging to get NATO involved in Iraq. The problem for him is that NATO is already involved, training Iraqi troops. This is what happens when you don't go to the meetings

Listening to Kerry, I noticed he has a habit of saying things that President and other are ALREADY doing

That's my concern as well. Shortly after the debates, Kerry bows out (for health reasons?), Edwards goes to the top of the ticket, and she-who-must-not-be-looked-at takes the Veep slot.

- or -

She-who-must-not-be-looked-at takes the top slot. The debates are over, and she slithers in for a home run.

"Uh, Michael, "Heinz" isn't her maiden name. It's her first husband's name. I think it's weird to haul your first husband's name into a second marriage, but nobody else seems to much care."

You are of course correct about the middle name.

Many women keep their married names from a dead or divorced husband so that she has the last name as their kids...avoids potential uncomforable situations.

Once the kids are grown however...I wouldn't think this would mean much.

My basic opinion is "does anyone know what teresa is thinking?

I think it's weird to haul your first husband's name into a second marriage, but nobody else seems to much care.

If I remember rightly, she only added Kerry to her name when John started campaigning for President. Much the same as Hillary did. Bot Teresa and Hillary refused their husbands last names until their husbands ran for president.

Teresa may have kept the Heinz last name for her children. I wish she had kept it and stayed a Republican. If she did, and used that sharp mind of hers, she would never have married John and told us all through the press to "Shove it".

I suspect that by October it would be too late to change the ballots in most states. So can someone vote for a Kerry-Edwards ticket and the vote be taken as a vote for Edwards for president even though the ballot itself says they are voting for Kerry for president?

Isn't that pretty much what happened in New Jersey with Torricelli?

"pretending to eat lunch at Wendy's just like regular folks..."

Lets not forget that he "treated" Senator Edwards to this Wendy's meal.

"How would Soros' level money influence this market?"

He could easily move the market to Kerry 1.00 but he would lose every penny he put into it.

But would he care? He is on the record stating how much he would be willing to spend to see Bush defeated.

when you get down to it, all the Kerry-Edwards campaign has in its issue arsenal is their hatred of George W. Bush, and that's not a theme that will get you elected. You have to be able to stand for something and have a background that will enable you to achieve it.

That's right. Hating GW isn't enough to win an election.

I find it interesting that Mike was adopted and Ron Jr. was not, yet based on the political views, one would think the opposite

Just goes to show you blood isn't always as thick as water.

No, I don't think so. There has only been one foreign-born and she had an American father. So,as far as I'm concerned she was an American even though she was born in England.

Martha Washington wasn't born in the USA. There are others.

BTW, George wasn't born in the USA either!
