Now is this book "Unfit for Duty" the same as the book "Unfit for Command" by John O'Neill and a co-auother? Or are there two new books being released? O'Neill's book isn't due out until September 1. I'm wondering if Drudge got the title wrong on his website.

Drudge just corrected the book title in his website copy. (I pinged him with the change and no doubt others did too.)

Admiral Zumwalt after reading all the action reports before awarding him the Silver Star Said, "I do not know if I should give this man the medal or court martial him"

I believe they wrote it up as "shell fragments" !

I don't trust Drudge as far as I could throw Michael Moore though. I'll wait until I see the book myself before I jump to any conclusions.

Notice how they do not discredit whats in the book they try and get it excused by calling it dirty tricks.

W didn't put them (vets) up to this. Kerry made them do it. Most people can't seem to remember what's happened over the last year, maybe even the last few months. VN vets have been remembering Kerry for the last 35 years. Sink Kerry!

Yes indeed, it is a tingly feeling. I am particularly interested in the statements regarding Kerry torching an abandoned village and killing the livestock in it - PETA? PETA?? PETA, where are you???

Paging PETA...

The embargo means that the books contents cannot be released until a certain time

I sense an opportunity for George W. Bush here.

"Of course I joined the National Guard to avoid serving in Vietnam. Everyone heard the stories of SOME F#%&ED-UP @SSHOLE NAMED JOHN KERRY OVER THERE, WREAKING HAVOC ON THE PLACE."

Yes, he just fixed the title. The title is "Unfit for Command" and O'Neill is one of the authors. This book will stir up a hornet's nest but I don't think it will backfire on Bush because it won't be filled with dirt that a PI just dug up recently. This is just the Swift Boat Vets writing their account of Kerry in Vietnam.

"They hired a goddamn private investigator to dig up trash!" charged a top Kerry adviser traveling with the senator late Tuesday. "This is pay for play, and the dirtiest of all dirty tricks ever played on a candidate for the presidency. How low can they go?"

Hmmm...that "goddamn private investigator" wouldn't be named Terry Lenzner, would it? How about Jack Palladino? Anthony Pellicano?

Why, that would be dirty pool. No Presidential campaign has ever done anything like THAT before.

What do the Vets have to back this stuff up? It has to be more than he said/she said or the lib media will create a backlash against Bush. Let's see Kerry release his medical records to refute this stuff. While we're at it, they can release the divorce records from rich crazy wife #1. Hey they did it to Jack Ryan.

Kerry supporters are comparing the effort by the veterans to the Arkansas State troopers tell-all against Bill Clinton.

Compare away, the Troopers stories have never been disproven.
