Statement by Bush-Cheney ’04 Louisiana Chair Pat Brister
George W. Bush ^ | August 3, 2004

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Bush-Cheney '04 Lousiana Chair Pat Brister issued the following statement:

“The Democratic National Convention has adjourned and the American people have not been given an answer on how Senator Kerry would govern this nation. We do know that he does not want to discuss his career of raising taxes and cutting defense. By running away from his 19-year record in the United States Senate, John Kerry shows us how fickle he truly is. Whether it is his confusing stance on the war in Iraq or supporting Partial-Birth Abortion, Kerry is clearly out of step with Louisianans. The American people deserve to know where this candidate stands on such important issues. John Kerry’s inconsistencies stand in stark contrast to a President who is running on a record of accomplishments and has been a steady leader in an ever-changing world. I am confident the state of Louisiana will stand with George W. Bush and the values he represents.”
