King Abdullah slams PA
Accuses its leadership of not carrying out real reform. Says it is responsible for situation in which 50% of territory offered today while 2 years ago 98% discussed.

“The Palestinian Authority must carry out a real reform and tell the Arab world what it wants of it”, Abdullah King of Jordan told the Arab satellite network al-Arabiya on Tuesday.
Abudllah harshly criticized the PA and said that because of the way it handled the situation, Israel today is offering it only 50% of territory that was conquered during the Six Day war, while two years ago, over 98% of the territory was discussed.
“In the past, compensation to Palestinian refugees was discussed while today only a marginal return of these refugees are mentioned; we don’t even know what the situation would be like in a year or two”, the king added.
According to Abdullah, the Palestinian leadership must clarify its position “so it won’t surprise us every time with new decisions or proposals, which were once considered a betrayal, while today they are depicted as a triumph”.
In spite of recent difficulties, the Jordanian ruler expressed hope that the peace process would resume. “Today, more than in the past, the Palestinian leadership must take advantage of the situation in order to make peace and to amend its mistakes which caused the entire world to point its finger at it”, he said.
Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qorei (Abu Ala) reacted strongly against the king’s remarks. Abdullah’s remarks are very severe accusations, he said. “We will send a delegation to Amman to try and understand what made him say what he had said”.
Palestinian Communications Minister Imad Al-Faluji said, “It is a shame that the Jordanian king chooses to criticize one side rather than the other”.

King Abdullah knows as well as I do the PA never wanted peace. If he doesn't, he needs to take off his rose colored glasses or stop listening to his "Jordanian of Palestinian descent" wife so much.
Surely King Abdullah never forgets that his great-grandfather and namesake, King Abdullah, was murdered by the Palestinian faction in 1951. This occurred at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, reportedly while he was at prayer. Abdullah's grandson Hussein was at his side, and became King the next year in 1952. And King Hussein was the father of the current King Abdullah, who never forgets that the Palestinians of today are direct political descendants of the assassins who murdered his great-grandfather.
He also never forgets that while in Jordan in 1970 Yasser Arafat lead a revolt against his father King Hussein. In "Black September" the Jordanians killed more Palestinians that Israel has in 56 years of conflict.
:') Abdullah's father was nearly overthrown by the PLO, so he has pretty good reason to criticize the so-called PA.

Abdullah is a putz, not a king by any means but the British pulling a wife beating daughter raping sheep herder out of a tent and saying "you be king" to his grandfather. Jordan has done jack squat in the war on terror. Zarqawi's family is treated like gods in Jordan. Saddam's daughter is living it up rich in Jordan. Weapons of mass destruction from Iraq have turned up in Jordan. Our diplomats are murdered in Jordan. What the hell are we doing with Jordan?

And he doesn't forget that what started Black September in 1971 was when Arafat and his Palestinian gangmen assassinated the Prime Minister of Jordan. They later also tried to kill the Jordanian ambassador to London.
Lets also remember his father kicked them out during "Black September".
