Kerry does best when he is invisible. Whenever his mug shows up on peoples TV his numbers go down. Look for John Edwards to be the primary campaigner and Kerry to be a virtual hermit if he is to have a chance at winning.

Excerpt requirements are from the papers, who threaten to sue FR, unless we oblige.

As for Kerry, I think the more people know about him, the less they like him.

So far he coasted, because nobody knows much about him, the polls show that.

As he keeps talking, his numbers will keep going down ( fingers crossed, hoping that I am right)

My prediction. If Kerry wins the election, Republicans will win 70% of the house and most of the senate.

"I think the more people know about him, the less they like him. "

I'm finding that with many of my unpolitical friends. They're all starting to comment about him in a negative way.

If Kerry wins the election, Republicans will win 70% of the house and most of the senate.

At the same time? How and why would people vote for Kerry and then vote in unprecidented numbers for house and senate members of the opposite party?

Democrats were dismissive. "We're extremely pleased with where John Kerry and John Edwards are," Mary Beth Cahill, Kerry's campaign manager, said Monday.

Right.

Ignore my above post. I typed it before you made your addition of "in 2006".

It's the helium filled balloons fault....(Keep saying it sooner or later people will think it's true.)

I think because people who were basically undecided expected to see something that they didn't get - some excitement, some set of programs or plans or visions or anything at all but the bland "not-Bush" that came across. Taking the anti-Bush hatred out of the Democratic convention would be like taking the stuffing out of a sausage - what you have left is going to be a tough sale.

Maybe because the few viewers there were saw just how stupid and ignorant the "average" Democrat is - and didn't want to be associated.

I mean this in all seriousness - I saw a bit of the convention Thursday night (no Fox News on the hotel TV) - What a bunch of losers those delegates "casting their votes" were - ugh.

Why did Bush get the bounce? Did anyone watch the Dim convention? It was a farce, and hopefully the American people are not stupid enough to fall for the deceit they tried to pull off.

The democrats are split badly on a lot of issues right now. If bush were defeated... they would split right in half. Kerry will not be able to hold his party togehter let alone the country.

People don't show up for Edwards, either. In Florida, only a few came to the porch.

well, let's see... to appeal to the heartland and middle America, Democrats go to ultra-liberal Boston in the heart of new england and showcase Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy, and Al Sharpton, then nominated Dukaksis Jr.

Gee, no idea. I thought that would play well in places like Ohio and Colorado. ::rolls eyes::
