Astrodome is mothballed. Only rarely used, if at all, and then only for smaller events. It is an older and relatively unattractive facility compared to other stadiums nationwide and the new one here. The new stadium is several hundred yards away from it in the same complex.
I could be wrong and maybe they are "bringing her out of retirement" for something, but I had not heard.

Threats from group associated with al-Qaida target flights leaving from Rome's airport.

Italian authorities are increasing security measures for flights departing to the US and Israel, following serious threats made by a terrorist organization.
The security measures being taken include increasing security around passengers in the security inspection area and the baggage x-ray zones. The number of guards, aided by dogs trained to detect explosives, was increased are they now patrol the airport, Italian news agencies report.
The report reveals that threats have been received from a group that identifies itself as the Abu Assaf al-Massri Brigades. At least one of the threats was published on the Internet today.
The same group has taken responsibility for terror incidents in the past, such the Madrid train bombings five months ago.
