Right, I forgot, the penguin has "flightless wings" which much resemble fins and just happen to be used as fins in the water. How careless of me ROFL. I knew there was a reason I used the verbage before. Remember, you called me Ornithologist - not because I made any claim; but, so you could poke fun if you didn't like my answer or my answer disarmed you. That is called staging for your debate tactics. I've spent years debating religion and have seen it all. You aren't going to present a dirty debate tactic that I haven't seen or win any debate based on other than the strength of your argument.

Debate 101 - if you are losing on substance, go for style points or try to discredit the other side.

Yep. He sure has. Just Figured I might give you something you could prove for once; but, you missed the opportunity. Guess we're back to you having to duck and dodge. Your loss. LOL

I see the A-Team from Darwin Central has showed up for damage control. God forbid someone question their pet theory(s)!; If ya do - they'll insult you to death. I've seen it before: one troll shows up, then the insult-bot, then the others. One wonders how long it will be before this thread gets sent to the smokey backroom.

LOL. Now that's funny. But, I have to say, I'm neither protestant nor Catholic and the Catholics detest me as bad. I'm sure if they could get away with torching people today, I'd have been on a spit looooong ago lol. Oh well, God loves 'em even if they are wrong.

Yes, I will dismiss it out of hand because I've seen the full argument and witnessed how it works, why it works and looked at the data. Strata dating and carbon dating have proven to be largely a joke and that is what made me doubt the traditional story, even with the full rundown which actually involves a circular argument. So, I looked for an alternate solution that had fewer problems or none and no circular arguments and found it. So, yes, I dismiss the traditional approach out of hand. I'm full aware of the arguments against a global flood. There used to be only one "We will not even consider it, shut up".

You know Dawkins is in trouble when the best analogy he can think of is an intelligent designer (A watchmaker!) who has some limitations ( a blind watchmaker ).

Dawkins was refuting William Paley's 200 year old analogy of finding a watch in the forest.

Please enlighten us, then. Or do you expect us to believe you just on your say-so.

This really is a classic crevo thread. The evo side puts up links to scientific journals, universities, libraries etc. The creos say "Nope. Don't buy it. God did it. End of discussion."

They say "there are no transitionals." You show them a whole bunch of transitionals. They move the goalposts: "Show me a bird-fish!"

They say "no benefical mutations." You show them the A-1 Milano mutation, the super-strength mutation etc. They say "where are the gliding, gill-breathing humans!"

The only silver-lining is that Havoc strikes me as somebody who will, sooner or later, go over the edge and get banned,

No adaptation is not evolution. I'm sorry; but, men adapt their surroundings as needed and themselves as needed within builtin biological norms. If they cannot adapt based on their current biology, they move to where their body's can take the environ. That's called using one's brain. Men decided they needed to fly and had tried for centuries to get it done - they didn't sprout wings as evolution would have us believe might have happened for flying squirrels if they waited long enough, nor have men developed huge bits of skin between their arms and legs that they can fan out to glide with when needed. Nor have men who have been diving the depths in coastal waters for generation after generation for thousands of years either developed gills or scales. Yes, I'm aware of the arguments evolutionists make when talking out both sides of their mouths. But where we'd expect to see it, it is considered absurd because it is the most valid argument for it and it isn't happening. Evolution is a shell game to sell snake oil in place of hard science. Sorry. Wrap your foil tighter.

Yep, It's gonna suck when they get to eternity and all the time in the world won't let them evolve out of the mess they got themselves into.

Christian scripture arrives as a revelation from Prophets through whom God has spoken to man. So to say it is merely Dogma is to mistate the record.

dog·ma ( P ) Pronunciation Key (dôgm, dg-) n. pl. dog·mas or dog·ma·ta (-m-t) A doctrine or a corpus of doctrines relating to matters such as morality and faith, set forth in an authoritative manner by a church. An authoritative principle, belief, or statement of ideas or opinion, especially one considered to be absolutely true. See Synonyms at doctrine. A principle or belief or a group of them: “The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present” (Abraham Lincoln

WOW, I guess he DID mistake the record. It all becomes so clear when I change all the definitions....thanks for the tip.

You're kidding, right? Nobody with any understanding of biology would ever even dream of suggesting that anything other than radical genetic manipulation could create winged humans.

Please enlighten us, then. Or do you expect us to believe you just on your say-so.

I don't think I've stated that you had to take my say so for anything. I've stated that I'm simply not only unconvinced by the traditional argument; but, thoroughly reject it as nonsense. And I've stated why. I could care less what you think or believe from there. I would just as soon see that you believe something factual; but, given that you have to lie about what has gone on here on this thread, I've no expectation that truth means anything to you.

You are a propaganda artist. And not even a good one. I can't wait to see the headlines - Black dog gives birth to grey dog - evolution proven. ROFL. And yes, I stand by the no beneficial mutations statement. You show us a three legged man who can procreate and get a three legged baby, and we'll talk. I think I've elaborated enough on that stand for you to be unable to lie about what I've said. But I have no expectation that you would do other than lie as an act of desperation as all your arguments so far have been shot full of holes. Calm down and have some more koolaid. Or maybe try something different and try doing science for the sake of science. You might learn something.

Havoc: [Humans] didn't sprout wings as evolution would have us believe...

Modernman: You're kidding, right?

Unfortunately, even after 400+ posts, I've come to realize he's not kidding. To him, a world driven by evolution should be a menagerie of freakish beasts, with morphologies so out of whack with necessity that it boggles the rational, adult mind.

You might learn something.

Such as how a 3 legged bi-pedal beast is somehow an advantage? Is there a 3 legged anything in the world? How is this advantageous?
Such as how certain Antarctic birds swim with "fins?"
Such as "evolution ain't true b/c humans can't fly?"
Such as "snakes never show any evidence of hip or leg bones because I say so?"
Such as bats' evolutionary ancestors, which were wingless, were somehow still "bats?"
Such as the condition humans experience when they surface too quickly from deep ocean dives is called, "the benze?"
Such as how all of geology is wrong because a single world wide flood event caused smaller animals to float to higher strata?
Such as "there are no transitionals except for the transitionals which are fully formed?"

Yes, dear Havoc, we have a lot to learn from you.
