I personally can't see how Kerry stands a chance.

• Kerry will run a pacifist, "Chamberlain-style" foreign policy ('Containment!?') -- and history shows very clearly what a failure that is.

  The war has been the most successful major war in US history. The only people saying otherwise are obviously lying for their own political gain.

  Less than 1000 KIA would be considered a successful battle, to have such a kill rate for an entire major war is completely astounding.

  Removing a madman and freeing millions is still considered a noble goal. Seeking to build a new ally in a dangerous region of the world is still considered a brilliant strategic move. The people saying otherwise are lying, and I'm not afraid to say it.

• Kerry won't reform education, because of his ties to the NEA and the Teacher's unions.

• Kerry won't reform the legal system, because of his ties to the Nat'l Trial Lawyers Assn -- oh, and his running mate, the millionaire trial lawyers.

• Kerry won't reform govt, he's a sitting Senator and one of the ones who got us in this mess in the first place.

I think the hysterics we're seeing from the Michael Moore crowd are the death throes of the D party as we know it.

..Agree and witness the Dem-party become an modern day Know-Nothing Party in 2009.

...though I would love to see $hrillary nominated and run (gets defeated, both times) in '06 and '08, then watch/hear the divorce court proceeding/circus from Bubba.

...then, $hrillary running on the National Democratic Socialist Peoples Party of America - NDSPP ticket in 2012...and get 3% of the vote. :))

Kerry sat on the Senate intel comm.
Which means Bush can point out that Bush has worked to improve intel. AND he can point out how Kerry pushed to decrease intel funding (as well as defense spending)

Bush can point out that in less that 4 years....he has worked for improvements. AND in 19 years....Kerry only let the problems get worse.

-- People forget that we didn't always have a Dem-GOP setup. The GOP emerged out of the Whigs over the issue of slavery and combined with other third parties, like the Free Soil Party. Will the Same thing happen to the Dems? Does the left wing of the DNC pull out and join up with the Green Party? Does the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), "Blue Dog" Demcorats, and other moderates form their own party and pull in RINOs and unhappy Buchananites?
