I have great concern that it was Kerry's testimony (and the fakes he brought with him) before the Congress in 1971 that is DIRECTLY responsible for the greetings that our troops who served in Viet Nam received when they returned home. These heros DID NOT deserve the spit and epithets of "baby killer!" when they came home from one nightmare only to be confronted with another.
John Kerry's testimony told Americans that our young men were worthless scum. He told Americans that our young men performed horrendous war crimes as a common, matter-of-course habit.
HE LIED.
This fact about that 1971 Kerry testimony and its DIRECT consequences and implications should be emphasized during the campaign. I dont believe many Americans actually realize that it is JOHN KERRY who in such great part did this to our troops.
This reviling of our servicemen has caused deep, lasting pain in thousands of veterans and their families. John Kerry should be held to account for this. People need to understand the DIRECT responsibility he bears for this.
We know that decent Americans have in their hearts a true and profound appreciation of our troops and veterans. In many ways they show their support for our troops today with an attitude of NEVER AGAIN!
By God's grace, may that be true.
Never Again.
John Kerry must NOT become president.
BTTT!!!!!!!
Thanks, Peach.
My husband and I were talking about this yesterday, and he is the one who encouraged me....no...INSISTED that I write an essay highlighting Kerry's culpability for the way things unfolded in the 70's wrt the war in Viet Nam.
As you probably are aware, it just isnt my usual impulse to post vanity essays. In fact, I think this is my first one. But this seemed like a crucial central point that we need to focus on as we interact with those around us.
re your 42:
Thank you for posting this very specific testimonial information on the part of those who know Kerry best. It is important to have all this gathered together like this. I appreciate so much your contribution to this thread.
Bump for your great essay!
Thanks for your bump, blackie....and here's a volley bump to you!
Thank you so much for your contribution to this thread with those eloquent pictures.
ROFL!! Thanks for that great picture of the Return of the Hamster!!
Oh that poor sweet lady! *sigh*
"There are none so blind as those who will not see."
(*texokie ruefully shaking head*)
(LOL to keep from crying.) Folks like this, God love 'em are exercising the Free Will that God gave them.
As I'm certain you are already aware, we cant change them. All we can do is what you did. You presented the facts, and it is up to her as to what she does/did with them. You planted some seeds, and it is up to her and her God as to what will become of them. I'm glad it is not my job to judge her soul. I'm certain that she has good motive. She trusts this Brother Whosis, and she has certain logic/(illogic) which guides her thought process and decision making. Only God can discern if the good intention outweighs the harm a wrong decision can cause.
If we have reached the state of affairs where the blind people greatly outnumber us, then the scripture, 'they have believed the lie and their damnation is just' might have to come to pass.
But I believe in intercession despite numbers. I believe in the concept of God sparing a city or a nation if there are the "ten righteous" for whom he would grant mercy and spare a harsh judgment. It is for this reason that I so strongly encourage Believers to vote with their prayers and good actions. We are told that the prayers of a righteous man availeth much. Only I, only you can determine if we are going to put ourselves on that line and claim that righteousness in the name of the Lord. By God's grace there will be, scattered among our cities, towns, hamlets, and homes the "ten righteous" who will cause our Father to grant mercy for our nation. We saw this during the 2000 election cycle. Why would our Father take us this far only to abandon us? IMHO, He wouldnt. We must have Faith. Not only must we have Faith, but we must exercise it and TRUST!
But I do share with you your frustration. Why cant I be more eloquent and persuasive in the hard cases? I dont know.
I share with you your frustration and the knowledge that the liberal co-opting of the news/entertainment organs do much to shield the American people from the information they need in order to make informed and proper choices.
In fact, I guess part of the motivation for writing the above essay is to reach out and offer a focused bit of information that can be easily grasped among all the extremely valid information floating out there about John Kerry. As someone on the thread has stated above, our best hope is the internet. I am planning to distribute my essay and a link to this thread to folks on my email list. Maybe some of them will forward it on as well.
I wish I had some bright ideas on what you and I can do to influence voters in East Stump, or Dade County, Fl, or wherever. But unfortunately I dont. I think you stated a mouthful and the key to the whole thing when you said,
"WHATEVER WE CAN DO, LET'S DO IT!!!"
Amen, and say on, Sister!
It is so timely that you wrote again today. My brother is here visiting and although he'll be voting for Bush, he's defending Kerry's actions and words after he left Vietnam!! I'm ready to scream and told him he had to stop or leave the house. And he's here for a week's visit. I don't know if I'll make it a week.
Thank you so much for posting on this thread those pictures, links, and the information you have gathered together. It is an important contribution, imho.
Thank you for your post 48 and links.
Thank you so much for posting your links and information, Ronnie. Thank you for your service and for holding the torch on this issue.
Thank you for your post with the links and information you have gathered together on this issue, windchime. I am certain I am not alone in appreciating your contribution here.
Thank you for posting the swift boat quotes about Kerry, Dubya.
You are so welcome, Alamo-Girl. Thank you for your kind words and all you do on this forum to support the upholding of our Constitution.
