Here I Come To Save the Day!: Rush Portrays Kerry As Mighty Mouse Comic Hero
EIB Network ^ | July 30, 2004 | Rush Limbaugh

Listen to Rush...
(…play the new Kerry update theme song and discuss wet hamsters)
Windows Media Format (.asx)

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I got an e-mail, just now received it. It's from Diane Rich in Woburn, Massachusetts. "Hello, Rush, I just thought I would share this thought with you. It seems the Kerry slogan from last night, "Help is on the way," if you listen to that it reminded me of Mighty Mouse and his slogan, "Here I come to save the day!"

TRANSCRIPT BREAK

A little audition here, ladies and gentlemen, wasn't enough time to audition this during the commercial break. This is just for us here. You can listen in while we make an executive decision whether we want to use this.

RUSH: I think it works. That's "Help is on the way. Mighty Mouse is here to save the day." The John Kerry update theme song based on one of the many, many slogans in his speech last night. I tell you why else it works. You know a mouse is a rodent, a mouse is vermon, and Kerry's daughter last night tells us he gave CPR to a hamster (story). Can you imagine that? CPR to a hamster, ladies and gentlemen, and wanting big-time credit. Let's listen, Alexandra Kerry telling the story of mighty mouse coming to save the day to save a hamster.

ALEXANDRA KERRY: We were standing on a dock waiting for a boat to take us on a summer trip.

RUSH: Stop the tape a moment. I actually didn't hear this. I was getting a massage the time. Here we go.

ALEXANDRA KERRY: Vanessa, the scientist, had packed all of the animals, including her favorite hamster. Our overzealous golden retriever got tangled in his leash and knocked the hamster cage off the dock. We watched as Licorice, the unlucky hamster as he became termed, bubbled down into a watery doom. Now, that might have been the end of the story, a mock funeral at sea and some tears for a hampster lost, but my dad jumped in, grabbed an oar, fished the cage from the water, hunched over the soggy hamster and began to administer CPR.

RUSH: Ted Kennedy would have done the same thing. What's the big deal? Ted Kennedy would have dived right in there to save that hamster. This works. The Mighty Mouse theme coming to save the day. It works! You know what's amazing about this? George Neumayr, editor of American Spectator, in an online column, points out here is a party so convoluted that the aspirants daughter goes out there and makes this big heart-string tug play on the compassion and the concern for life of all living things of her father John Kerry, who jumps in the murky depths to save a hamster and then gave it CPR. As Mr. Neumayr points out, this is the same party that would not do the same thing for a human fetus. Well, he's got a point. Does he not have a point?

Oh, that's the part of the story the daughter left out.
That's why the hamster had to have mouth to mouth; there
was such a long delay while they had were looking for the
"Mouth Guard" shield for Kerry that the cage actually
sunk while they were all frantically looking for the kit.

Thus brings back recent memories of the infamous "Hamster Dance" download that we used to put on fellow employees computers when they left the room.

Maybe a new Kerry-oriented version of it would be worthwhile.

I heard this yesterday at work and I couldn't stop laughing. Kerry is such a boob, bafoon, jerk, lying idiot and all around girlie man, it's almost sad. Too bad there's so many stupid people in the world willing to vote for this gerbile. Can anyone imagine what the arabs must be thinking when they see this stuff on CNN? You know they're praying to allah for jkk to win as they know how weak he'll make this country. It's scary and sad.
