ARLINGTON, VA - Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Changing World." The new ad highlights President George W. Bush's vision to keep America moving forward and his conviction to make tough decisions in today's changing world. The ad also points to the values that make our country strong. The ad will run on national cable and select local markets. Script for "Changing World" Voice Over: Graphic: President Bush:
The world is changing.
Sometimes in ways that astound.
And others that terrify.
We depend more than ever on our values - family, faith, the freedom we celebrate.
In today's changing world the answers aren't easy.
We need a sense of purpose, a vision for the future, the conviction to do what's right.
President Bush
Moving America Forward
I'm George W. Bush and I approve this message. Together, we're moving America forward.
If this is the best they can come up with, I am not optimistic about November.
Booooooring.
We are in the right against evil. He should not shy away from saying so during the campaign.
It sounds like a Kerry ad - and didn't Kerry steal THOSE Republican themes last night for his speech?
The ad is OK -- it's a positive ad to shut the press up that all our ads are not negative. Further, it reminds voters that the war on terror is issue #1.
I would like someone to ask JFK how attacking the Saudi government helps build international coalitions.
Guys,
You've got it all wrong. Voters are looking for qualities. Bush has already accentuated "leadership" and "conviction." Expect these to be followed with "compassion" to swing the female vote back.
"Conviction" and "leadership" are what voters view Kerry as lacking. Now he has to steal the "compassion" issue, and it's over. If you are looking for slick attack ads, don't expect it.
(What I would like to see is a recounting of the good economic news, but they might be waiting until after next Friday's payroll number...)
I suppose. I guess im just wanting real red meat. Im a big partisan hack though. I can amdit it.
I wrote this poem for a Kerry ad. As you read do it with his voice in mind. Insert proper images.
Kerry 2004
I want to be the President,
Though all know I cant lead.
I really want the power though,
Its really what I need.
Ill lie and cheat and fabricate,
Ill flip and flop for sure.
The lefts so dumb theyll vote for me,
For stupid, theres no cure.
George Bush lied, Ill chant and sing,
Though I know its not true.
I love America Ill say,
Another lie for you.
Ill back the UNs global push,
No sovereignty for us.
The world rides free at our expense,
Well even buy the bus.
Let terror rain down on this land,
We really are to blame.
Oh yes, I fought in Viet Nam,
Four months, then home I came.
Three Purple Hearts for paper cuts,
Like some rite of passage.
You bet my names John Kerry,
And I approve this message.

Thats pretty lame.
He is changing the world, and that is a big deal, but this ad is lame
I like it. I think it will appeal to people like my mother-in-law who don't want to face that we ARE in a changed world.
I like it. It's positive; it sends a good, strong message; and they finally answered my call for more hula-hoops in Republican ads. Way to go!
Attack ads work. We can't worry that the media will say Bush is being "negative" by highlighting Kerry's record.
Yes, it does sound like a Kerry ad. One that Kerry's team can keep!
unfortunately all the "pro's" at this stuff work for the other side.
Ever notice how when we want red meat Bush does the opposite, and it works? They must have a plan to put out ads like this.
Works in what way? I won't believe it is close to working until I see Bush ahead by more than the margin of error. I know Iraq is disturbing to many people. But, geeze, Kerry is the worst candidate nominated by a major party since...Bob Dole. Bush should be doing much better at this point in the campaign.
