CANANDAIGUA NY--An accused drunk driver probably didn't score any points with the judge at his Wednesday arraignment.
Terry Monroe of Phelps showed up for his arraigment wearing a tee shirt with several beer logos. On the back it said "life is full of choices."
Monroe is accused of felony DWI, assault and other charges after he collided head-on with a Seneca County Sheriff's Department patrol car, injuring two deputies.
According to Seneca County Undersheriff Jim Larson, Deputies John Nesbitt and Michael Schell are out of the hospital but their injuries are such that doctors have not yet allowed them to begin rehabilitation. Monroe still wears a head and neck brace as a result of his injuries.
The case was continued until Monday so Monroe can be represented by a court-appointed attorney.

Maybe next time he can wear a "I'm with stupid" shirt with the arrow pointing towards his head.

Four years ago the drunk driver that slammed her car into mine showed up to court wearing a sweatshirt with the words, "It's Hammer Time" written across the front. She sure got hammered by the Judge that day. LOL.

You would be shocked at how often this happens I just evaluated a guy for a court exam and he swore he never drank and never went to bars while wearing a local tavern's "1,000th beer club" T-shirt. Some people are just too stupid to drive let alone drink and drive.

Always show up at court wearing a suit and tie (men) or a nice dress (women), and always call the judge 'Your Honor'.

It's more common than you'd think. My theory is that they are just making more of the same stupid choices that caused them to encounter The Law in the first place.
I know a judge who had a fellow show up in court for his probation revocation hearing wearing a "BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND" T-shirt.
He made him go home and change.

I think Ted's Tshirt says
"A date with me is a sink or swim proposition!"

It's pretty stupid. to emphasize the accusations against you. For example, if someone accused a major political party of being filled with race hustlers and immoral people, it would be pretty stupid for that party to have Al Sharpton and Ted Kennedy speak at their convention.
