"More Balloons!"
Posted on 07/29/2004 8:03:50 PM PDT by Lunatic Fringe
CNN played the coordinator feed live for the ballon drop. We heard:
"Go balloons! Go balloons!"
"More balloons! Where the hell are the balloons?"
"I want more balloons, God Dammit!"
"What the f*ck are you guys doing up there?!"

Anyone notice the irony in the Chryssie Hynd song right after Kerry's speech...sure would have been funny if they'd cued up "My City Was Gone" (Rush theme song) instead!

"That's too funny!"
I heard that only half of the balloons fell during Carter's convention, which didn't bode well for his campaign. Let's HOPE history repeats itself.

So now Blitzer is apologizing, but the panel is saying because Cheney cussed it's ok and understandable. These people are so childish.

>>Serious screw up for the big finish. CNN will pay some big fines for this.
If you meaqn FCC fines - it ain't gonna happen. CNN is cable - the FCC does not regulate cable content like they do broadcast...if the Superbowl "boobiegate" would have been on ESPN, there would have been no fines on that either.
