"Sooner or later, voters in places like that (the South) are going to grow tired of voting on guns, God and gays and start voting on education, health care and jobs," Dean told the crowd of activists gathered at a "Take Back America" event on Tuesday afternoon.

Howard may not know much, but by gosh he knows the Southland like the back of his hand.
As long as folks like Governor/Doctor Dean think those are the most important factors motivating Southern voters, the Dems will be condemned to being an ever smaller marginal party representing few.
Not as long as guns, God and gays are an issue.
Plus the dems have been running on the same lines for 40+ years.
They never do anything about it except vote against the republicans
that want to change things for the better.
Right. The South just loves the pierced, trans-gender freaks and effeminate metrosexuals that back Howard Dean. Sure. That's why you are seeing so many of them on display at this year's rat convention.
Another demonstration of just how out of touch many liberals and members of the Democratic party have become. As many recent surveys have shown, younger voters across America are becoming more conservative, and not just in the South. The Democratic party is simply composed of the Baby Boomer flower children from the 60's, trying to force their free sex and drug-hazed policies on an unwilling American public.
When we trade God and guns for gay marriage and the UN, we will be over as a free republic.
I agree entirely. Hatred of God is the core of the Democrats' ideology. I don't see Republicans trying to do anything but maintain the order and structure of American society and culture. It's the Democrats who are pushing these issues.
Still I have a soft spot for Dean from the time Kerry accused him of threatening to cut Medicare.
"Sooner or later, voters in places like that (the South) are going to grow tired of voting on guns, God and gays and start voting on education, health care and jobs,"
Speaking as a Southerner, we like guns, God, education, health care and jobs. And, most of us don't really mind gays, except when they try to tell us how great it is to be gay. What we do have a problem is some one trying to convince us we have to give up our guns, forget God, and raise our children to be gay in order to have education, heatlh care, and jobs.
He's right! Think about it. The public education system is anti-God, anti-gun, and pro-queer. If things don't change then in a generation none of those 3 issues will be issues any longer. IMO of course.
"Take Back America", Howard? Have you seen all those "Take Back Vermont" signs springing up like mushrooms around the Green Mountain State? Their idea of "take back" isn't quite what you have in mind, Mr. Dean. My friends at UPS/FedEx tell me a lot of "Cheaper Than Dirt" packages are being delivered to homes displaying "Take Back Vermont" signs. I do not think these people are your supporters, Howard. Soapbox...ballot box...
This is one of the reasons I dislike Europe. In many cities, especially in Switzerland and Germany and the Netherlands, there are "gay pride parades." I saw coverage of one on TV in Switzerland, and I thought gay pride parades were just political rallies for gays. Boy was I wrong. I don't know if there's that type of garbage in America, but at least I know I'm in good company here in my appreciation of civilized decency.
Yeah right. I notice he didn't make this statement in his speech to the convention delegates. We need to get a video of this and play it in Florida and West Virginia this fall.
Hey Howard, fill in the missing part of this lyric, "Song, song of the South. Sweet potato pie and ...."
Can you shed some light on this for those of us who are in the dark? I know about Dr. Howie's "Take Back America" rhetoric but whasssup in Vermont?
Cheaper than dirt. I hear they got a special on Y2K rations.
It is proof and they are united against God and united against America.
It's not just that they're out of touch... That statement shows the disdain and arrogance of the leftists.
Mark
Bravo ....tell it like it is.
