RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- A suspicious incident at a shipping company near the Port of Palm Beach prompted authorities to evacuate hundreds of workers Wednesday.
Why would they *evacuate* if it was drugs?
That form's from Australia. I knew it when I saw "Holden" as one of the vehicle make choices. Holden is GM down under. I drive a Holden in the states now but it has a Pontiac GTO logo on it.
Person of interest. Containers of interest. Does this new terminology aggravate anyone else?
ha ha, I have a co-worker who goes nuts when the the term is used.
He says they (leo's) are scared to call people a suspect anymore. I agree, since the Atlanta Olympic bombing and Richard Jewell.
If they
(a) have arrested two people, and
(b) are searching for containers,
that says to me that they have some reason to connect the two people they arrested to some containers, but that the people were not near the containers at the time they were arrested. Which, obviously, begs the question of how they know the people and containers are connected. It's very bizarre. The part about them looking for containers is weird. Perhaps the guy said "we are searching some containers" and the reporter thought he said "we are searching FOR some containers."
I know a guy who has a Holden too,Cool Car,very Mad Maxx!
Haitians or chineese smuggled in containers.
Drugs, this isn't miami.
"Why would they *evacuate* if it was drugs?"
Gunplay for one.
I've been through Riviera Beach. It's a DUMP.
It is bizarre. To evacuate...and not know where the containers are, tells me they must suspect *what* is in the containers.
What?
We'll have to see how it plays out.
When was the last time they evacuated an entire working port over a possible capture of a drug shipment . . . something has them nervous about these containers . . .
LOL
Keep me posted, I have to step into the shower.
You've got it covered.
WERE DOOMED!

"Port Security acted on reports of two men who were stopped with names that appeared to be on a terrorist watch list. Federal authorities checked out the men and now say it was a case of mistaken identity."
I just wanted a porty car and looked around and discovered that Pontiac had brought back the GTO for 2004. After I bought it July 3, I discovered it was really a Holden with a left hand drive and a GTO logo. It's still a hot machine.
You mean it's not just me? Whew.
In a thread that could be important, it's posts like these that make it impossible to scan the thread for the actual NEWS. Thanks for wasting everyone's time who is trying to read this on our BRIEF breaks at work.
17 out of the 34 posts made on this thread (at the time I'm typing this) are a waste of time for the rest of us and a waste of bandwidth for FR. Wasted bandwidth costs money.
And no, I'm not the Thread Police, I'm just stating an opinion. And yes, MY post is just as worthless as all of yours. Isn't it fun wasting your time reading THIS rather than something pertinent to the actual NEWS ??

Shove it, mmkay? This was a panicked sky-is-falling post with no information.
Well worth a little joshing around until there is some information actually worth worrying about.
99% of these sort of posts turn out to be zilches.
Waaaah.
Waaaaaaah!
