Photos Were Given To Kerry Camp Before Publication!

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (L) and Senator Bill Nelson (D-Florida) wear clean environmental space suits while touring a space shuttle at NASA headquarters in Cape Canaveral, Florida, July 26, 2004. Republicans distributed a photo of Kerry wearing a head-to-toe protective suit in comparison to a famously unflattering photograph of Michael Dukakis in a tank that helped sink his presidential bid in 1988. And it is all over the place." FOX NEWS' BRIT HUME: "It was leaked?" CAHILL: "Yes." HUME: "Because I think it was made by NASA, right?" CAHILL: "It was." HUME: "So the campaign had no idea there would be any photographs..." CAHILL: "None." (Fox News' "Special Report," 7/27/04)

NASA Gave Kerry Campaign Photos To Review Before Posting On Website. FOX NEWS' BRIT HUME: "Since we taped that interview just a short time ago, a NASA spokesman has said that NASA provides a pool photographer who did take pictures of Kerry on the NASA tour yesterday. However, he said none of those photos was released to the media. Instead, he said, the pictures were given to the Kerry campaign to review before several were posted on the Kennedy Space Center web site." (Fox News' "Special Report," 7/27/04)

If the Bush/Cheney camp doesn't capitalize off of this picture we deserve to lose.

Quite a few conservatives would actually agree with Kerry not funding the Space Station. I might be in that camp.

I read on an earlier thread the Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL)who was with Kerry at NASA sided with NASA on this issue. Said they did not leak it.

I don't know, this looks rathe spontaneous and off-the-cuff:

Count me in as well. One has to wander what might be the Bush payback to NASA for publishing/leaking those photos. We might soon hear about a 112 billion dollar funding of Nasa on a 19 year project to land a monkey on Neptune.

The point isn't so much his vote. It is that he voted against it and now had hoped to use it to promote himself. Like, "see, I'm pro space program."

Yeah, first thing I've agreed with him about. The problem is that he opposed it so that the money could be used for even worse mischief.

I think they're capitalizing on it just fine.

http://www.kentucky.com/mld/heraldleader/news/nation/9259596.htm

Republicans ridiculed Kerry's primary campaign contortions about the war on Iraq yesterday and handed out pictures of Kerry clad in a hooded blue anti-contamination suit as he climbed out of a NASA space shuttle orbiter. The GOP effort to pull a "Dukakis" on Kerry is shifting into high gear.

In 1988, Republicans were able to turn Michael Dukakis from a Democratic presidential front-runner into a caricature by means of a photo of Dukakis riding in a tank while wearing a helmet. At the time, Republican strategists for Bush's father compared the governor in the tank helmet to "Rocky the Flying Squirrel."

Bingo. Florida is a battleground state, with a lot of NASA voters.

Which of those cuts coincided with the shuttle destructions?

While most here love to blame NASA for all the PC decisions that have resulted in death, they are decided directly and enforced by congress!

So now you know who to blame - and WHO was in charge of congress during this?

Vote OUT EVERYBODY! Get new and honest people into congress.
