I received the following information via an email bulletin from our Corporate Security Office.
Report of Suspicious Activity Occurring at Hospitals ___________________________________________________________
The FBI has provided information and their concerns that terrorists or criminals may be collecting intelligence on hospital security measures, response capabilities, medical supplies, ICU/ED bed capacities and specific staffing. Their concerns result from suspicious telephone and personal inquiries, the majority of which have occurred in Illinois.
In June 2004, five hospitals received calls from an unidentified female inquiring about their security. In Chicago, a male (who would not provide ID) professed interest in volunteer opportunities, but then asked about the number of beds in the ED and ICU and the number of staff working each shift. In yet another incident, a male claiming to be a physician called a hospital asking if there is a 24-hour pharmacy available and inquired about pharmaceutical and antibiotic supplies (purportedly for a patient with the flu who never came in).
I am requesting your assistance in alerting our staff not to provide any specific information about our security program, security procedures or general hospital capabilities to unknown individuals.
Additionally, anyone receiving a suspicious call/inquiry should: • Take careful note of what is asked. • Request with whom the caller is affiliated. • Note the caller's phone number if possible. • Note any specific information about the call (background noise, voice characteristics, gender, etc.).
It could be, though, given the pharmacy inquiries, that the callers could be interested in narcotics.
The press needs to stop hiding the horrors these demented "people" commit. The world needs to sit and watch the atrocities these "people" engage in. Only then will the world wake up to the reality of it all.
Such people are the embodiment of evil. Their "god" is Satan.
Or the supply of antedotes to Chem-Bio attacks.
It's not pc to call the Religion of SATAN, just that.
Wanna bet those suspicious characters wandered in across our southern border?

Today, Adolf Hitler and his Nazis are universally accepted as unmitigated evil. This acceptance was not universal before the defeat of the Third Reich. The acceptance of these neo-Nazi terrorists and their supporters as unmitigated evil is not universal today. Someday it will be.
Most hospitals have so few rooms left anymore, they've all been remodeled to office space and hot stone massage therapy providers. Aroma therapy too.
If anyone out there wants to thank the original founder of the HMO act which is not insurance and is exempt from insurance provider laws, thank Ted Kennedy. It was his legislative baby back in 1974.

Congratulations!I am surprised you saw little security. Just about every maternity unit I've visited in the past 10 years has big-time security, e.g., picture id, limited visitors, baby must stay in room, can't go in the hall. Not for terrorists but for baby snatchers.
You could drive a truck bomb right up to the front door of Walter Reed in DC. Some days they don't bother to check anything at the gate.
I just remember thinking that there were so many rooms (restrooms, reception areas, waiting areas) you could enter there carrying huge purses or backpacks and no one inquired. It may be different in large city hospitals.
I should add that I think I was a little more aware of the lack of that kind of security because last month dh and I had run the gauntlet of airport security in Atlanta and our destination airport on the return, and they refused to hand examine our film (about 25 rolls) and they were all streaked. Still steamed about that.
That's very disturbing. Isn't that where all our guys go when they're wounded?
Actually, their God is a God of darkness. "He" is a moon God, or a God of the night.
"Allah" means "curse" in ancient Hebrew. When you see the word "curse" in the Bible, it was originally written as Allahom (I'm not sure if I spelled it right).

Army Hospital. I know about the utter lack of genuine security because I see it when I visit friends who are recovering there. It was a Sgt. from the 4ID who pointed it out to me.
That's not good. Even a civilian security firm could point that out, and this is the government, for heaven's sake.
I know this is just my conspiratorial mind...but after the WTC towers and the Pentagon
had been hit on 9-11 and we were all waiting for "the other shoe to drop"...
I was thankful that the terrorists didn't drive car-bombs into the local emergency rooms
near the afflicted sites...
