Earlier this morning, Don Imus, while speaking to Sen. Joe Lieberman, said that he believes it would now be better for Saddam to be back in power than the new Iraqi government because Saddam "is tanned, fit, and rested, kinda like Nixon back in '68."
This is truly disgusting and vile. While Joe Lieberman made a very good case for the war in Iraq, he did not react in any way to Imus's comments. Imus obviously believes that he prefers that Iraqis be tortured, raped, mutiliated, murderered, and dumped into mass graves. He seriously thinks that would be "cool."
While it is well known that Don Imus supports John F'ing Kerry, the comments this morning were truly the worst kind of venom anyone can spew.
I urge everyone who reads this to complain to Viacom and MSNBC. Furthermore, I urge everyone not just to quit watching, but remove MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, and CNBC from your satellite or digital cable recievers. Most recievers allow users to edit the main channel menu.
These organizations HATE America, and they only way to get rid of them is not to watch.
Thanks.
By the time the election is here the DNC and France will compare Saddam to nelson Mandela.
Comunism really pollutes the spirit.
THat was a joke, son.
It has actually been a case study in pathology watching Don Imus and Bernie descend to the dark side. And they are getting sicker by the day.
I stopped listening.
Was listening to Lieberman on Imus this morning. He was very good. He gets it, which is why we won't hear from him at the convention this week.
I'm waiting for Imus to turn on Kerry, as I'm sure he will. Imus hates to go with a loser.
Mary Matalin coming up on Imus in a few minutes.
All I can say is, don't watch.
Sounds like what he said was dull humor meant to press your buttons (get you agitated) and from the looks of it, he succeeded. I just ignore the guy.
A joke huh? Rape, Murder, Torture, Mutilation, and Mass Graves. Very Funny. Ha Ha.
So Imus the moron has you watching or listening on a daily basis?
Interesting.
Why is that? I find their descent interesting. I'm curious how it will play out, especially when the Syrians turn over the WMD.
Will they deny it, like they deny the nexus between Iraq and terrorists? Or will they jump?
I'm staying tuned now and then to find out.
By the way, is that the stock answer to criticism of Imus?
Like Stern, Imus listeners have a certain alien intellect that is very difficult to measure in human terms.
The good news is there are about as many of those in this country as there are Flat Earth Society members. ;)
Ah, Don Imus, probably saw a slump in his ratings or something and wanted a little face time. But I think his comments unveil an important aspect of these media folks and their views on Iraq. Perhaps Imus and others who didn't think Saddam Hussein was a bad guy are not unlike people who don't think the Holocaust really happened. Imus apparently doesn't remember or never saw the pictures of a dead Kurdish mother in Northern Iraq lying down on the ground holding her dead baby. The result of Hussein's chemical attack on the Kurds in the late 1980's. Appeasement and turning a blind eye to tyrants is nothing new for these folks. Back in the 1930's, many left leaning media folk were praising the Soviet Union for being this great noble experiment, while Stalin was killing Soviet peasants in large numbers in Ukraine.
I wouldn't know. It's my answer.
Imus makes his millions from ratings which YOU contribute to on a daily basis, which enables him to go on and spout his opinions which you apparently disapprove of.
As I said, interesting.
Personally, I rarely listen to him anymore.
Don't get upset, it's just a bad attempt at humor to get Lieberman to rise to the bait and because he didn't, they both come off looking like fools.
Imus is a radio troll. He does stuff just to get a reaction. Ignore him.
Please re-read post #13. Very slowly this time.
