Adjournment
Just back from running errands. Re Morris and the poll--I don't believe it either. As you point out, viewership was way down. Besides, I am thinking it is not my bias that is telling me this is one of the worst conventions that's ever been held.
Viet Nam was mentioned...
Take a Shot!
...Witty. These are the best and brightest the DNC has to offer, folks.
Screaming with LAUGHTER here!!!!!
Desperate times call for desperate measures and listening to Teddy Kennedy will be one of those time *L*
Who the heck is this fruitcake Blumenauer? Is that a pink bicycle on his lapel?
It's Kook Night! I just might have to watch tonight!
Kennedy! Daschle! Theresa! Mosely-Braun!
I think I yelled this at the TV screen more than anything else last night.
Me: "HE WAS THERE FOR 4 FREAKIN' MONTHS!!! THAT DOESN'T MAKE HIM SUN-TZU!!! IN FACT, IT'S HIGHLY SUSPECT..."
Wife: "SHADDUP DOWN THERE!!!!"
Just wait'll tonight...
Celebrate good times...
COME ON!
(they're boogeying, kind of, to a slow motion version of the above)
Commies can't dance.
Now the house band is butchering Kool & the Gang's "Celebration." It's 1981 all over again.
You're right ... so far this convention has been the pits and extremely boring
OH look .. they are dancing in the isles now
What a Happening Crowd *L*
Thanks. I'm lurking from work and in a few hours I will be drinking from home. It's the only way I can watch.
"HE WAS THERE FOR 4 FREAKIN' MONTHS!!"
There must have been an echo all across the land 'cause lots of us were doing the same thing.
It is no exaggeration to state that liberals do not have the vaguest conception of values!
Billie, LOL! It looks like you're the creator of this masterpiece. Great job!

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Democratic National Convention headliner John Kerry [related, bio] plans to make his grand entrance into Boston late Wednesday morning via water taxi.
The convention is steeped in the image of Kerry's service in Vietnam, and the pending nominee's arrival will fit the theme. Kerry, who commanded a Navy swift boat in the Vietnam War, will travel across Boston harbor to Charlestown Navy Yard with several of his former crewmates.
Kerry will hold a rally upon his arrival.
The Charlestown Navy Yard closed in 1974, but part of it has become a national park. It is home of the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned ship afloat in the world.
Kerry was campaigning Tuesday night in Philadelphia, the largest city in the delegate-rich battleground of Pennsylvania. Democrat Al Gore won the state in 2000, and Kerry holds an edge in the polls despite President Bush's frequent visits to the state.
From this thread (Pardon me while I gag)
Will he run it up on the beach and jump out looking for mortally wounded targets to shoot??
So far, I came up with about a quarter cup of Bourbon. (I was beginning to feel like an alcoholic in desperation! doing all that searching! LOL!!) Now, how does one drink this stuff, besides holding the nose first?
We're keeping the tv on CSPAN more or less, but after the rousing music ended I surfed real quick and there's breaking news: John Edwards has arrived in Boston!
You caught that too huh??
I have to admit .. That is a first for me .. I have never seen a pin like that on a man or a women
