The last few months I've seen an increasing trend for FReepers to start going for each others jugular. Sometimes we forget (I've certainly done it myself) that in the grand scheme of things, we are on the same team. We may disagree on priorities or how far we are willing to go, but we have enough enemy in the left without creating more amongst ourselves. We can disagree but be civil to each other. We can debate nuance, but not believe that our personal positions are more important than the health of the whole. Let's argue vigorously but remind ourselves the guy whose trachia we are ripping out today may be sitting next to us in a foxhole tommorrow.
I'm going to propose that we all make a new start. Let's put all past differences behind us and resolve to band together and fight the good fight, the elimination of liberalism as a significant culturual influence in America...and see that to its end in our lifetimes.
If you agree, please post your thoughts and ping your lists and your friends to this thread.
I haven't begun to throw anything, nor do I intend to start. :)
I'll tell you what. I'd love to bury the hatchet too.
If Jim would send an email to my friend Classy inviting her back (Not that I'm at all sure she would come back here) I'd drop my attitude and at LEAST quit the sniping.
If you were indeed serious about his post, I'd like this message conveyed and considered...
After all, as she says, all the OTHERS are still here.
Goodnight
That is funny.
Jimmy Carter, Hitlery and Bill
ALL in one night... *sigh* ---
isn't it swaety armpits's night
tomorrow?
This is the type of condescension any leader on FR can expect from the peanut gallery. For me, I choose not to participate anymore. I'm tired of it. Good bye, it's been fun.
At last count, I have agreed with James Carville about one thing - this is war. It has been a war since the night 60 Minutes shilled for Bill and Hillary in 1992, and it will continue to be a war until the IDEAS of the left are defeated.
We are not only fighting individuals...we are fighting their way of life. WE don't want to impose our ideas on THEM...they used the Judiciary to force THEIR ideas on us.
I've had 'conservatives' tell me they won't vote for GWB for various reasons - CFR, Education bill, etc. I always ask if they voted for Clinton or Perot in 92...it's not surprising that many did. I then deliver the coup de grace...
REMEMBER HOW YOU LIVED TO REGRET THAT VOTE?
The French capitulate at the earliest opportunity. It's time to dig the deep trenches and fight the Dems to the death. If we don't, they're going to throw us in the trench and kick dirt on top of us.
You bring up a good point then apparently many know you as a dirtbag. Then a lot of fluff.Eating of our own needs stop.I see distraction theory all over this like a lot of posters smarter than me see. Often it's all distraction.
Nite Bob.
See you Sunday.
;<)
BigSkyFreeper,Been there and done that myself and still. What is your point?
no kidding
whatever you'll be back... in five minutes ;-)
GREAT POINT: The FRENCH capitilate, are you French or Republican?
He was first up tonight .. and he was BORING ... but hey Tipper wasn't wearing a bra, so I'm sure there will be more talk about her then him *L*
My life is too. Most of the day is filled with caretaking for a loved one stricken with Alzheimers. What little time I do have, I'm either spending on here, or working in the trenches as part of the BC'04 Grassroots team.
Double or nothing on 100 posts?
Gore was ON tonight?
Howlin?
You told me he was tomorrow night!
I was wrong!
