Kim Dok-hong, "Vengeful Anti-Regime Group is in N. Korea"
According to the July 26th report of Sankei Shimbun (in Japan), Kim Dok-hong, who defected (to S. Korea) with Hwang Jang-yop, former secretary of N. Korean Worker's Party(communist party), was quoted saying that a vengeful anti-regime organization is in action, opposing the Kim Jong-il regime of N. Korea.
Mr. Kim said so, while revealing that he is in contact with the anti-regime group in N. Korea during the interview with the newspaper, which was held in Seoul.
He revealed that the anti-regime group concluded, "Ryongchon Explosion in last April was staged by the Kim Jong-il regime." He was told (by the group), " They managed to distribut flyers detailing Ryongchon Explosion in all of approximately 210 N. Korean counties."
He said the reason for staging the explosion is "to instigate a purge by showing that there is a group out to assassinate Kim Jong-il." He claimed, "While they(regime) were at it, they also destroyed missiles in trains, to be exported to Syria, because they had defects."

It's to instigate a purge? But I thought it was a gas tanker/fertilizer/blasting explosives/missile parts, shipment that hit wires/crashed/was sabotaged/was intentionally exploded as an accident/assassination attempt. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Hmmm...............
Cool! How do I join up?
Reminds me of the Chinese preempting any problems with the Three Gorges Damn.
Oh this is rich. "Vengeful" indeed.
Thanks Tiger.
Not really a new opinion thought. We know that there are factions in NK that are working to assasinate KJI. In fact, some of them are on the payroll of the CIA and other intelligence groups. His days are numbered. You can cound on that.
With the exception of a few environmental and human rights organizations, there's been almost no criticism directed toward the PRC for building a massive public infrastructure project that will flood thousands out of their homes and cause untold damage to the surrounding habitat.
LOVE IT rack this group I think Kim Jong 11 probably hang out more in his underground bunker like b**** he is write on Live Journal.com site
Actually over a million, but who's counting.
I must have been using the communist method of estimating people.
Kind of like Tienanmen Square, where they ignored the three or four thousand bodies that they steamrollered over on their way to crushing all resistance to their tyranny.
(Frizzes hairdo. Adjusts glasses. Dismisses retinue of Swedish whores.)

I do not buy this theory in its entirety either. Dissidents might have picked up some of regime's spin. We will see.:)
I think we would have heard about the flyers out to the 200 some counties by now, if this were true. Not sure. Thanks for the article and the translation!
