Ratherbiased, Jennings, Brokaw and the rest are just upset that they can't fawn all over Kerry and the other 'rats and then next month pretend the Republican convention isn't even happening.

What did they expect?
To pre-empt the soaps for their Kerry love-fest?
HAHA

I think the Press is scared to death about what's going to happen at the Dem Convention. The sound bytes, the words that can never be taken back...they are a party OUT OF CONTROL and the Press just doesn't know how to spin it anymore.

They know that showing less of Kerry is going to help Kerry.

Actually these guys are bitchin because the conventions are no longer "good TV". But if good TV made good government, Jennifer Anniston would be President.

The Democrats are having a convention? You would think there would have been something about it on TV today.

Let the dying broadcast networks show their silly sitcoms, dramas and reality shows. People who want to see the conventions can watch serious news networks like Fox News or C-SPAN.

The newsreaders (Brokaw, Jennings, Rather) on the dying network broadcasts are overpaid and unnecessary. Their jobs ought to be eliminated.

lament the lack of network coverage for this week's convention.

Thank God! Every time I turn on FOX, I see skank TV. All Democrat, all the time.
If I wanted to see that, I'd turn on the Jerry Springer show. Besides, I have children. There's just some things young minds shouldn't be allowed to see.

Party conventions have to be among the most stupefyingly boring activities known to man. Only a masochist watches them end to end, and I would seriously worry about the mental stability of anyone who tunes in for the insightful commentary from Brokaw, Jennings, and Lehrer.

I don't care if I have to watch Food Network for the next week: I am NOT watching a second of the Communist Festival Democrat National Comintern Convention.

I believe CSPAN is going gavel to gavel with its coverage. Why don't they get mentioned?

This year's convention protestors don't seem as lively as the crowd in 1968. These are willing to check themselves into a "Free Speech Zone" complete with concrete barriers and razor-sharp barbed wire. How coneveniently docile. Subserviant even.

COME ON GUY-GALS, you're the entertainment! DO SOMETHING! BRIBG IT ON!!!!

Most of these network bigtalkers have walked through a cobweb and they are twisting and swatting to get away. They all know that they don't mean sqwat in today's media world, so their voices are not necessary anymore. It's like me, as a parent of adult children, realizing I can't influence or control my children's lives anymore. It hurts, and I afraid for them, but what can I do?

This upcoming convention is going to be a nightmare for the Dan Rathers of the world. All the nuts are going to be in one bowl and the public will see they are all basically the same.

This is going to be the Wellstone "Memorial" played out over four days. Even The Jersey Girls will run away before it is over. Like Rush Limbaugh said, all your dreams will come true.

When does the Dem convention begin, anybody know?
I thought it was supposed to happen in July, but July doesn't have much longer to go.

Thanks.

ABC Jennings claimed that "under the current circumstances, there isn't great reason for us to show up," for more than an hour or two a night.

News flash to Peter-there is never a reason for YOU to show at all, for anything.
