Kerry just flubbed the opening pitch at the Yanks-Sox game
ESPN | 7/25/04 | me

Kerry just 'threw' out the opening pitch at the Boston-Yankees game. Just saw Kerry pitch a really weak opening pitch, well short of the plate, bouncing under the catcher. What a poser!

CBS national news (radio edition) at 6pm Pacific, 9pm East Coast said that he pitched a strike. Of course I believe them...why in the world would I believe the vast right wing conspiracy on FreeRepublic.

Really!!! Isn't that perfect? The guy isn't even close to catching the ball......... and HE'S AFRAID OF IT!

Just to think of him getting elected, and we will have to watch him "play" all sorts of sports for four or eight years. Damn!

Thanks for posting the 2nd part of Gibson's interview with Senator Mary. This was hysterical! ROFL.

That picture is priceless, just for the expression on his face.

I agree. It's very similar to that face
he made when the basketball was his to catch.
I can't imagine the likes of him being elected,
can you? I know, the media are TRYING: the news
is like a commercial for him and his empty suit mate.

I still want to know about the schedule. Did he stand up Florida voters in order to get this photo op? Or was this planned for a while and the press is lying?

And if this was impromptu, who was originally going to throw out the first pitch?

Gerraughty won the women's shot put final at the U.S. Olympic trails Friday night with a throw of 60 feet, 8 1/2 inches.

I wouldn't want to be at the plate with her at the mound. Broken bat foul for sure.

They were handing out "Team Kerry" signs to some folks, it looks like...as I watched on ESPN, I did definitely hear more boos than cheers. Unless they thought it was former big leaguer Boog Powell and they were chanting "Boooog!"
:) Just kidding.

In the stands, as seen on ESPN: Ben Affleck, Katie Couric,
Tom Brokenjaw, John Glenn (in the ballpark where "The
Spaceman" and "The Rocket" flourished)--ouch, Jon Miller
is interviewing John F'n Kerry now...

"Boy I was throwing stuff at that television set, I was screaming" (When Pedro was not taken out in ALCS
game 7 last year)

anyway...
Joe Biden, too...

on ESPN? Kerry is turning this game into a campaign ad - I don't think the viewers who wanted to see a baseball game are going to like this.
