Does Air Force One have nameless, anonymous, or mysterious Mid Easterners on board while cruising at 30,000 feet? Can you imagine the utter shock and concern of the President, his family and the Secret Service if a number of suspicious, mysterious Mid Easterners started to board Air Force One?
We all know this would never happen as the Secret Service and Homeland Security would never allow this to occur, as the safety and security of the President and his family are a priority and paramount.
My point is, why are the rest of the flying public subjected to this on a daily basis? We have all heard the endless warnings, frightening stories, and nightmare scenarios. We have even been told by the Director of Homeland Security, "We will be hit and hit hard". Yet strange, mysterious Mid Easterners, that have only been in our country a day or two, are on board our flights as I write this.
Imagine boarding a flight with you wife and kids and seeing multiple, suspicious Mid Easterners boarding the aircraft. Imagine your thoughts and concern on a long flight. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable.
Imagine, if it happens again, and four or five or more flights are brought down killing many hundreds or thousands?
Then what? Will our government continue to carry on business as usual? At what point will the safety of the rest of Americans be a priority and a paramount concern?
What information would it take to debunk that story to your satisfaction?
But I thought the guys with towels on their heads and bombs in their suitcases were part of the "religion of peace."
Then again, Christ promises Christians Eternal Life in Paradise, Muhammed offers a whorehouse with an open bar.
The story wasn't entirely debunked. It turns out that the middle-easterners were indeed a bunch of musicians on their way to a gig; but their suspicious behavior was real and was enough of a cause of concern for them to be questioned after the flight. Any group of terrorists making a dry-run on a flight will have some sort of cover story for who they are and what they are doing. The recent ridiculing of Ms. Jacobsen for her concerns are not justified, IMO.
Well they can't be too careful with us old ladies-----I've been known to carry Fosamax on board.
Dangerous stuff,Fosamax!!!!!
A good start would be giving a good reason why they were traveling on one-way tickets with expired visas, if that was indeed the case.
You have been terrorized out of your sense of humor. Butch up cupcake, and quit reacting the way the enemy wants you to.
Nice piece Joe.
I work for the largest American airline and I haven't flown since 9/11. As long as security takes a backseat
to political correctness, I won't be flying again, either.
Now all of the apologists will come out of the woodwork and say I'm "helping the terrorists win," or that I'm "hurting the economy."
Well sorry. I don't buy it anymore than I buy the theory that Ross Perot helped BushI lose. Bush lost for himself.
And the government is responsible for doing this to itself.
When will the security of the citizens of our country come
before foreigners and the the cries of profiling from
the left? Not soon enough...
First of all, it's not a "story." It's one woman's account of what happened that day. Mary Had A Little Lamb is a "story."
Secondly, you weren't there. I wasn't there. If her accounts are accurate, which I have reason to believe they were, if either of us WAS there, we would have been concerned as well.
When was the last time you were on a plane? Do you travel often? Would you consider behavior like this "normal?" I certainly wouldn't.
Look! There's a Sikh walking down the street as if he owns the place! Might have a bomb in his turban, and he's carrying a knife, too!
Are you suggesting that Arabs' discomfort with seeing jews on a flight is somehow no less reasonable than everyone else's discomfort with seeing a bunch of arabs on a flight?
And, as the woman who wrote the story mentioned, there's no reason in the world why terrorists couldn't play a musical instrument or two. Are terrorists supposed to have "terrorist" next to "occupation?". There were other anomalies - why fly *14* *Syrian* musicians all the way across the country for *one* insignifanct gig? That's a lot of money squandered for *one* miserable gig, don't you think?
LOL
why pretend to miss the guys point?
