I think the news we see here on FR is too vital to the future of this country to keep it to ourselves. I see articles and comments and emails that the old media would not like the general public to know about.
Emails from soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan tell a different story of the progress we are making. That doesnt fit the agenda of the old media so the majority of Americans arent getting a true picture of what is really going on.
How many times have you seen a pic or an article here that you wish so much that the mainstream media would show? Its time to stop wishing and do something about it.
This is such a great source of news and info-we need to publicize it. Drudge is getting millions of hits a day and he doesnt have the cutting edge that we have here.
Anyone out there who is in the biz of promoting websites? I think our site is just too good to keep to ourselves any longer.
Admin, if y'all come up with a plan to promote this site and submit an ad budget to us, I bet the majority of us would support this.
How many friends have you brought in?
Im constantly forwarding satuff from this site to my friends. I sent some stuff to a reporter with the W Post and he mentioned FR in one of his articles.
If this comes together, count me in, I don't have alot to spend, but, I will give what I can.
Curious..... have you discussed your plans and desires with the owner of this site? Since it is a privately owned LLC you may wish to discuss your plans with him......
I think FR needs to have "exclusive" featured opinion pieces in a separate section or front page. I was doing a google news search the other day and one of the results was an opinion piece featured on DU. Why can't we do something like this too?
See first article in result set.
Most of my personal sphere-of-influence are Liberal, Socialist bastards...I love them nonetheless.
They think of FreeRepublic the way you and I think of Democratic Ungerground...a bullsh*t site for stupid uniformed people.
The poster has a point.
Bumper stickers might be a good way to initiate awareness to FR. Maybe we could ask < cough-cough > Registered to design something?
In the beginning, FR served an invaluable service as an evidence locker keeping tabs on the liberal media and allowing instant access to actual quotes, gaffes and blunders; now, after the lawsuits it is a mere shell of its original self and amounts to little more than a chalkboard in the rain.
I also think FR could benefit from some advertising. A long time ago, I offered to submit a proposal for an outdoor (billbaord) campaign in the topp twenty and top forty markets. A banner campaign would also be good, but I think outdoor gives you more bang for your buck and will reach more people.
We do. The Free Republic Network (www.freerepublic.net) has a "Columnists Corner" feature on it's front page.
There are already Free Republic bumper stickers available. I've had one on my vehicle for years. You can buy them here at "FReeper Stuff" but, I don't know how to tell you to get there. (Maybe on the front page of FR?)
This is the first I've heard about the Free Republic Network. Is it separate from FreeRepublic.com? I looked at it, and it looks good, but I'm surprised that it's news to me. Hmmmmmmmm...............is there a link from this forum?
*color me clueless*
You're new around here, aren't you?
