The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Australia and Italy have received warnings through a statement purportedly from militants linked to al Qaeda that demanded those countries withdraw troops from Iraq.

OK, that's fine..but I do have ONE final thought..

I think we might be over-reacting JUST A BIT to the "controversy" over the recent posting.

I agree that it was right for JR to remove it, along with all related discussion.

BUT..now that they sent one of their staff onto a PUBLIC RADIO SHOW to discuss it, it sure seems to me to be "in the public domain" now.

Now, with that said..I think the whole story is bunk anyway. I just did want to chime in and say that I think we're doing the right thing in supporting JR, but that we may also be being a bit TOO sensitive to the "unmentionable topic" given the author's putting it into the public domain by going on the radio yesterday.

Hezbollah warns Israel against extremist attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque

BEIRUT - The leader of the Hezbollah militant group, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, warned Israel on Wednesday of the most dire consequences if Jewish extremists were to harm Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.

He was commenting on Public Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi's weekend statement that there was a growing threat of such an attack. Hanegbi said he did not know of a specific plot to attack the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound - the third holiest shrine in Islam - but intelligence assessments said the danger of such an action was growing.

Hanegbi said Jewish fanatics might attack the mosque to act as "a catalyst for change to the whole political process."

You paint a very incorrect picture of what happened. And yes she was asked to leave by the admin mod. Her single response to the people on this thread which has now been deleted was not out of bounds at all. It simply stated that she had been away making a bone marrow donation for her sister who was dying of cancer and she came back to people here making her sound like a hoaxer(destroying her credibility), and that is why people like her don't want to post here. She also mentioned YOUR reference to her being 007 laura. You say it was a joke, maybe it was. But in light of all she was reading- it was not out line for her to react as she did. In the end she was asked to leave...probably because she hit the abuse button. In any case I don't blame the admin mod for not having the time to baby sit this thread when they have to worry about the whole of FR. The mod only reacted to the moment, and that is all they had time to react to. Now I will say nothing more about any of this, but I could not let an inaccurate record like that stand without being debated. It is exactly comments like yours...that are the reason people leave.

Your thought might be a dot. AK47s, RPGs, IEDs instead of the NBCs. Numerous small scale but deadly attacks would tie down the men in black and divert America's attention from what may be OBL's and AQ's real target -- the take over of Saudi Arabia. Why gamble on a high risk attack on Europe or the US when they could strangle the West with oil extortion and win any concession they desire.
