Special Announcement: Episode III Title July 24, 2004
Starwars.com is pleased to announce that Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith is the full title of the next Star Wars film, scheduled for release on May 19, 2005.
The Sith are masters of the dark side of the Force and the sworn enemies of the Jedi. They were all but exterminated by the Jedi a thousand years ago, but the evil order continued in secrecy. They operated quietly, behind the scenes, acting in pairs - a Master and an Apprentice - patiently biding their time before they could take over the galaxy. In Episode III, they'll finally exact their revenge on the Jedi.
The title was publicly revealed today in a special presentation to a packed audience of Star Wars fans at Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. "For some time now, the naming of a new Star Wars movie has taken on some special meaning among core fans, who love to take part in guessing games before a title is announced, and then engage in debate once it is," said Steve Sansweet, Director of Content Management and Head of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm. "Let the debates begin."
I'm hoping they'll bring back Art Carney's character from the Star Wars Christmas Special. Art Carney, too.
....plus a musical number by Jefferson Starship.
I have no idea. It might be worth checking out EBay and seeing what others are bringing though.
It's Hollywood. The good guys will kick the "Sithies" all over the screen. Will they have pink robes?
Yup. The thing had a better plot and far more memorable characters in it than Ep. I or II (c'mon, tell me you wouldn't love to see HK-47 in a movie: "There is a two percent chance that the miniature organic is trying to cause trouble and needs to be blasted. However, that could be wishful thinking on my part, master"). As weird as it sounds, it's pretty much the only game I've ever played where I actually ended up caring about the characters in it.
HA!HA!..LOL! :)) ...about 3 years ago The Scifi Channel, had some very funny movie shorts, This could have been a great title/movie short. :))
I'll tell ya one thing -- if this movie isn't a make-good for the first two episodes, look out for an anagram of this movie.

Yoda whirling around is great.
Dueling some heretofore unknown dork named Dooku who carries a travel-sized light saber to a draw doesn't seem very Yoda-esque. He shoulda mopped the floor with that guy.
It's Knights of the Old Republic, a role-playing videogame that takes place I think about 2,000 years before Phantom Menace. It's really something of an interactive movie (in that despite the illusion of freedom it's pretty linear), and is so well written that it actually puts the last couple of movies to shame. Lucas should hang his head and do the dance of shame that he's been outdone by Bioware in a video game.
the final lightsaber duel between obi-wan and anakin was very anticlimatic... with obi-wan turning off his saber and taking a fall... in episode iv a new hope. anakin being darth vader and i know he changes but that's a crock...
if obi-wan and anaking fight to the death of obi-wan... something's up...
