SALT LAKE CITY — The night after 27-year-old Lori Hacking (search) disappeared, her husband was causing a disturbance at a local hotel, FOX News has learned. Police late Monday night responded to a complaint at the Chase Suites Hotel, where Mark Hacking (search) was running around naked, only wearing a pair of sandals. When the officers realized who he was, they took him to the nearby University Neuropsychiatric Institute (search), where he was admitted as a patient. FOX News has also learned that less than a half hour before Mark Hacking called police to report that his pregnant wife never returned from her morning jog, he was at Bradley's Sleep Etc. buying a new mattress. The owners of the furniture store told The Salt Lake Tribune that Hacking came in about 9:45 a.m. Lisa Downs, the wife of store owner Chad Downs, said the credit-card purchase went through at 10:23 a.m.. Police have said Hacking called them and reported his wife missing at 10:49 a.m. Friends told the Tribune that he had called them about 10 a.m. about his wife's disappearance and said he had twice run his wife's usual jogging route, three miles each way.

no . . . please, no . . . I understand and certanily want her to cover the news but she's entirely tooooooo obsessed with Michael J. and Kobe and Scott Peterson. Personally, I think they should all be put in the same jail cell and for good measure, add Martha to the mix. And NEVER EVER talk about any of them again!!!!! They're all SLIME (IMO of course . . . LOL!)
Similarly, Sandy Berger is not a "target" of a DOJ investigation. He is a "subject."

They keep repeating that he "checked himself in". Getting picked up by the police who transport you to the nearsest psych ward, isn't exactly "checking yourself in".
BTW - I think this incident of him running around naked is part of his future defense. Anyone who worked in a psych hospital, knows that "running around naked" is very common behavior in a person having a break with reality. He's just imitating that behavior. (IMO)

How about this........he found out the baby wasn't his, then freaked and killed her. ?

At least Scott was out there actively looking for Laci. This guy runs around naked in his sandals, now he is spaced out on drugs in a psych ward. What a man what a man!
Or this : He didn't want children, thought his wife was on the same page-and then she announces she's pregnant. Maybe he discovered an unopened pill pack, proving she wasn't one of the .1-1.5% of women who get pregnant while taking oral contraceptives. Maybe anything he did after learning of her pregnancy that looked like he was happy about the baby was simply a ruse a la Charles Stuart.
