There is no connection between the Kerry kerrorist plan and the documents that Berger stole from the high security area, destroyed and then lied about!!

Berger destroyed that evidence solely to protect crimes of Bill Clinton and his administration.

Kerry's plans lack that level of specificty. Berger had to destroy notes that indicated that there was a meeting/conversation between a Clintonista and and Iraqi/Osama rep. prior to 9-11.

The crapweasel mantra in Congress and from their running dogs in the media was an effort to give the connection the "big lie" treatment. Berger tried to destroy the evidence that proved their mendacity.

9-11 could have been prevented! Willie could have prevented it but didn't. And, he intentionally downplayed his failure because that's what he was paid to do!!

Democrats tried to deflect the damaging revelation by claiming its timing was politically motivated. I caught the FReeper who reported this to Mark Levin (F. Lee Levin, to Rush listeners) on WABC radio last night. That was you, right jmstein7?

Rush attributes to Levin the idea that the "politically motivated timing" of the leak of the Berger investigation was the trademark of the Clintonistas - and Rush points out that the contents of today's 911 report didn't lay a glove on the Bush Administration, and the Bush Administration knew it in advance because it vetted the report for security violations before it was released.

In short, the Bush Administration had opportunity but not motive to leak the Berger info; OTOH the longer Berger hung around the Kerry campaign the more damage the Berger revelation of it would do when it did come out. So Rush supposes that the leaker of the Berger scandal was a Democrat. But if it was a Clintonista that would, seemingly, poke a hole in the theory that the Clintons want Kerry to lose so Hillary can run in '08 . . .

These conspiracy theories get complicated.

I agree. Berger would not have risked everything for Kerry, much less this yawner. Berger is still a clinton tool.

The Kerry plan could have been written by anyone even marginally conversant in security policy and familiar with the rhetoric. But Kerry's so clueless he probably really does think that Berger's stolen classified info played some role, so he had the plan taken off his website.

That's not to say Berger didn't share info improperly with Kerry, but there's nothing classified in this particular document.

IMHO, Democrats are already seeing this as a chance to trade a big scandal for a little one. If they can pawn off the Kerry plan as the material Berger took, they win. Once the public sees what a snooze it is, Clinton's home free. As you point out, what Berger was after was far, far more serious and involved the clintons with great specificity.
