With all the wailing the Left has done about Ashcroft, where the hell has he been? I want this creep in the slammer and singing like a bird.

I can hardly wait to see them come testify at the Congressional hearing on this matter ..."and then we watched as he stuffed national security top secret documents in his jockey shorts, etc, etc"

In case folks don't know, classified documents are treated the same whether they are duplicates or not. And notes taken from classified documents receive the same classification as the documents they were taken from. If there was nothing to this story, the investigation would have ended soon after it started. The fact that it has gone on this long means that a violation occurred. You do not want to be the subject of a security violation investigation. Especially when it becomes clear you knowingly committed the violation.

I have a feeling the national media is not going to allow this story legs - There are serious consequences here - Kerry involvement, etc - No way do they let this effect the NOV outcome - This story has been deep-sixed.
From emails I've had with Aaron Brown (which are mind boggling with his biasness) - the only story of any concern is the "timing" -(straight from the DNC talking points) -

To: Rokke
If the archive folks were preparing for this twerp surely they had VIDEO resources at their disposal. THATS the key to blowing this wide open - the libs and most TV watchers are affected by visuals.
Where are the video recordings?

And notes taken from classified documents receive the same classification as the documents they were taken from. You are 100% right here - but the national media is trying to blur this fact completely - The national news networks have either already killed this story or have talked about how wonderful Berger is (and how nothing really was done wrong) and that the Republicans are the one's with the real problem here - for trying to play politics with this -
It is mind-boggling to watch - but it is true - I really don't think this story will be allowed to get any legs - We won't hear about this after Sunday of this week - It won't make the nightly news again -

The MSM doesn't like it;however, this story does and shall continue to have legs!
The left's spinning only insures that it will NOT just go away.
