Hmmm...this really baffles me. The Aladdin is a client of mine and I was just talking to one of the members of management today about the situation and she seemed to indicate that the decision to throw Ms. Rondstadt out was a result of the audience's reaction (which apparently got way out of hand), not necessarily because of what she said.
As for Mr. Earl, my guess is that he was trying to be PC about the situation, but he really didn't know the specifics when he was asked about it. Yes he is a partner, but he's really not involved in the day-to-day operations leading up to the changeover.
Hmmmm....This idiots gambling license has not yet been approved. Looks like a time for some serious (and effective) Freeping!
I know for fact that it would have no effect whatsoever.
Nope, they'll learn it all by themselves.
Eventually.
When their money runs out...
Guess I won't be making a special trip to the Aladin.
Just when you had a lot of conservatives about to visit you Alladin...you go and blow it. Hope you go broke.
<< Planet Hollywood CEO Robert Earl of Orlando, Fla., said he'd like to take Moore up on the filmmaker's offer to join Ronstadt on Aladdin's stage and sing "America the Beautiful" when Earl's management team takes control of the bankrupt casino, as early as September. >>
A couple of questions:
1. Who are Linda Ronstadt and Michael Moore?
2. Who gives a damn?
3. Did Earl by any chance notice the Aladdin is ALREADY BANKRUPT?
4. Anyone want to open a sweep on how many days to go before his shareholders 86 the dumb bastard?
<< I know for fact ...... >>
No you do not.
He's born and he's not yet dead.
And that's a fact.

Princess Diaries was wonderful yet inoffensive, and I never realized that it was G until long after I had seen it. It was equally suitable for children and adults, and adults did not need to feel like they were watching something aimed only at children. It made tons of money.
If you look at a lot of the content aimed at our children on, say, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, you may perceive an agenda to expose our children to darkness, ugliness and disrespectful attitudes. Yes, I know a lot of CN is made for adults, but they know kids will be permitted to watch it. Most parents will not block CN, because it has one good show, Scooby Doo. (I block it).
Sounds like the place to go is Starwood
They own the Westin, Sheraton, St. Regis and W chain of hotels.

I know I have a frequest guest card at the Sheraton. I think I'll call and cancel it.
nononononon....tell her to just shut up.
Listening to Lindy Ronstadt sing is like listening to Miss Piggy on valium.
Back in the day we would have laughed our rumps off that anyone would listen to anything this bubble gum pop songs corporate clone loser wannabe had to say, then we'd run off to see Ted Nugent or Lynard or Aerosmith or the Moody Blues.
Well, you can make that statement that I don't know what I'm talking about, but then again, you also don't know my involvement in the license process of the new owners of the Aladdin. You can choose to believe me or not, but a Freepathon will have no impact with the NGC.
<< Well, you can make that statement that I don't know what I'm talking about .. >>
Sure I can.
But I did not and I would say that I MAY not.
But, perhaps more so in Vegas than in any place else it ain't over until the fat lady sings.
Or in this instance, as one fat woman has already sung -- and set this hoo-haa off -- until the other fat lady sings.

Exactly. When was the last time you ate at a Planet Hollywood Restaurant?
Oh yeah, they've been shut down and out of business for some time now.
Damn libs will never learn.
Fair enough. I was just trying to give you some useful advice to not waste your time, but you have every right to Freep away. :)
