Shamefaced actor Matt Damon has confessed that he has never voted, even though best pal Ben Affleck is a leading celebrity Democrat.
While Affleck makes plans to hit the campaign trail with Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry, Damon reveals he always felt his vote meant nothing.
The actor says, 'My reasoning has always been--and this is the worst thing to say-- that because I'm from Massachusetts, everyone I would have ever voted for didn't need my vote.'
Damon insists that he will be among the first Bostonians registering to vote in November.
He adds, 'I'll vote for John Kerry. The last election I had this feeling that everyone was just going towards the middle and it's the same thing no matter what, and it turned out to be the most politically critical moment in my lifetime.'

Matt cannot act, so he needs the press Damon, is paid no never mind any hoo.
Ops4 God BLess America!
I'm still working on my autobiography.....
Of course my vote in Massachusetts usually doesn't count because there's usually no Republican on the ballot!
Damon had his one lucky break, he'll probably flame out eventually just like Affleck has.
Who really cares what some court jester thinks, says, or does?
The sooner we start ignoring these clowns (and I mean that in the literal, as well as the figurative, sense), the sooner they will realize that they are insignificant human beings.
I'd take one Pat Tillman over all the narcissistic freaks in Hollywood any day.
I would infer from this that Mr. Damon is likely a republican, albeit a lazy, misinformed one. This should further underscore that celebrities jobs are to entertain us, not inform or otherwise pontificate, whichever side their political beliefs fall.
Condolences on have to vote in the peoples republic of Mass..
Meh...well, what can you say? It's not unexpected that Matt would come out in support of Kerry, him being an Hollywood actor from Boston whose best friend is Ben Affleck. But you know what? He kept his endorsement positive and was able to express his displeasure with the 2000 elections without slandering or slamming President Bush. Good for him. I'm still going to see the Bourne Supremacy in 2 days.
The trailer does look halfway decent, I may go to the matinee show this weekend.
No Damon means that the Democrat usually wins, if indeed there is any opponent, and the Democrat does not need his help. I had to write in a candidate against Kerry in the last Senate election, as he had no opponent.
I guess its because I've never done anything deemed noteworthy by the media......
Damon better go ahead and sign up because it looks like Kerry will need a couple of extra votes to make him not lose so shamefully.
Damon insists that he will be among the first Bostonians registering to vote in November.
Well, first except for the millions of Bostonians who are already registered to vote in November.
What a dumbass.
the last press conference I called, nobody showed up.....
