Lawmen Contradict Berger's Sox Docs Denials Law enforcement officials are contradicting denials from Sandy Berger's lawyer and two friends who say the former National Security Advisor never stuffed super-secret 9/11 documents into his socks during three or more visits to the National Archives last fall. Former Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart challenged the socks-stuffing account as well, telling CNN, "That is absurd - and anyone who says that is interested in something other than the truth." Former Clinton White House counsel Lanny Davis bluntly rejected the socks-stuffing witnesses, saying, "I suggest that person is lying. Let's see who it is who made the comment that Sandy Berger stuffed something into his socks." According to Davis, Berger is "a person of impeccable honesty and integrity."

Reports CNN's Bob Franken: "Three law enforcement sources talking to CNN's Justice Department correspondent Kelli Arena [say] they saw him, or that he had been seen putting documents in his socks." Earlier in the day, Berger's lawyer Lanny Breuer dismissed allegations that his client had crammed the secret files into his pants and socks, calling those reports "ridiculous."
Clinton Scandals
108-108-108
oh yeah - keep digging deeper into that hole you creeps - we want more headlines on this.
He stole documents- who cares about where he stuffed them- he shouldn't have had them in his house.
Just like the entirety of bill clinton's administration was the most ethical since before Adam.
If the socks don't fit you must aquit.
Debka reports that it highly likely that a videotape of Bergers burglering is what is the basis for these specific claims of where he placed the stolen secrets.
Now that would be the frosting on the cake...
It seems like Sandy forgot that DeeCee is under new management when he went in there to do his nefarious deeds.
May all the truth will out here, quickly.
The key element in this un-Sherlock Holmes *drama* is that Berger went there at bill clinton's behest to sift through the documents.
Pretty soon, the most famous socks of Washington D.C. is not going to be the cat once owned by Chelsea.
I know this was reported because I immediately yelped, "NO CAMERAS IN THE ROOM? HOW IN THE HECK CAN YOU NOT HAVE SURVEILLANCE IN THAT ROOM?"
Amazing. I likely couldn't steal something from the dumpster behind the McDonald's down the street without itbeing recorded by a camera yet a room full of highly-classified, sensitive documentation doesn't?
Liars and Doc thieving pantloads are in trouble.IT'S THE COVER-UPS,STUPIDS!
Where oh where have the poor docs gone.
Oh where oh where can they be?
They're in Sandy's socks and in his pants,
And there are witnesses to his thieving spree.
Reports CNN's Bob Franken: "Three law enforcement sources talking to CNN's Justice Department.."
Will make great witnesses for the prosecution.
And you believe what they say on CNN?
ANOTHER IDEA for FReeping JF'nK =
clapping flip-flops and waving TUBE SOCKS!
I like that one. "WHAT DID KERRY KNOW AND WHEN DID HE KOW IT?"
Great pic but the Dims aren't pulling political hi-jinks they are messing with national security.
I sure hope all these Berger defenders have to eat their shorts over this sock stuffing denial.
Yes, he DID put docs in his socks, but he didn't know it, it was unintentional, a mistake, not relevant, a neo-con conspiracy, strangely timed accusations...
Haha ... great photo. Lets hope it never happens.
