Regarding simplified and traditional Chinese: simplified Chinese is a result of the PRC to reduce the abysmal literacy rate in China with traditional Chinese's 6,000 characters.
Like selling a McDonnell Douglass high-tech machine tools factory to the PLA, maybe?
