Has anyone attempted to answer that, by the way? That seems like an attempt to cover up to me.
Someone wrote that the archivist was apparently a connected Dem and sat on some Dem committee or something like that.
I haven't read every thread here but to my knowledge it hasn't been answered. It occurs to me that Clinton may have made his attorney the point man so he could coordinate his spin and cover his tracks later. What I wonder is if they first contacted Berger and her referred them to the attorney or if the attorney was contacted first.
***why else would the archive employees call a clinton lawyer instead of the FBI?***
I've been looking for the answer to that also and have not found anything beyond that one statement which makes me feel like a durn mushroom. It makes me assume that the employees have drank the koolaid and only let the FBI in on it because other less partisan employees were in on the "know".
It may be Berger who told them WHO to call, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the archivist was told it was an attorney. Kinda suggests that Berger might have just wanted to get out of there, i.e., not be detained. "I'll take it from here," said the attorney. "I've know Sandy for years".
