MSNBC sound synch problem (tech vanity or conspiracy?)

MSNBC seems to have a 5 second audio delay so that they look like a badly dubbed Japanese movie. Is it just my cable company (Time Warner Memphis - digital) or is it happening to everyone?
TOPICS: News/Current Events; Politics/Elections; Technical
KEYWORDS: cable; clinton; kerry; politics; sandyberger; scandal; tech; tinfoilhad
This started right around the time they seriously started picking up on the Sandy Berger story. Could they be imposing an extra delay to bleep inciriminating comments and don't realize it's screwing up their feed? Nah, but it's fun to speculate.
Is this happening to anyone else?

In Boca Raton, all Adelphia news cable news channels are out. I mean, no reception, and all the other channels including movie channels are working perfectly.
Cable news channels out are FOX, CNN, MSNBC and the second CNN channel. Just a black screen. Even my cable modem is working fine. We have a total blackout on news.
Hell, I was just about to post the same sort of thing...
Anyone else out there?

Not on Cox Cable in Las Vegas. Since light travels faster than sound, and since we in Las Vegas are closer to the source of the feed, the sound is in sync.
Sine you are much farther away, the light gets to you sooner than the sound, causing the sync problem.
[PS - Yes I did flunk out of tv-repair school] ;-)

In Boca Raton, all Adelphia news cable news channels are out. OK, who's the guy with the "Just Damn" ping list. This is WAY too wierd. Now I have to start worrying that what they're trying to do on my cable system is insert AI versions of the news reader talking heads, ala Max Headroom.
I'm pulling out the aluminum foil right now.

I noticed The Weather Channel had a similar problem yesterday. Don't know if it's fixed yet.

Britt's still on vacation. Mort and Mara were really embarrassing in their attempts to spin the Sandy Berger 3rd rate burglary as something innocent. Sad, sad.
