The Senate's top Democrat said Monday that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's weekend attacks could extend the current budget impasse by as much as two weeks.

"You can't go kick somebody in the groin and then say, 'Come, let us reason together, come let us do this, let us join hands and sing 'Kumbaya,' "said Senate President Pro Tem John Burton, D-San Francisco.

I don't think they are lacking in pride for their sissiality, I believe they are objecting to the "Girlie" part of Arnold's description of them. The are highly girliephobic,you know.
