So, why didn't he quit as soon as he was under indictment? Why only when exposed? A: Because 'rats are a criminal organization.
Push reporting ... if CBS "leaks" this info, and other networks go with it, they might be able to sway the investigators into dropping it.

It seems the stuff Kerry had on his web site, now taken down, was a detailed plan on how to deal with terrorism. My speculation is that perhaps the plan too closely sounded like Clarke's after action Millenium plan that Berger stole and someone was afraid it was such clear plagarism that it was taken off the web site.
Is that clear as mud? LOL
Anyway - I think that's the current thinking..speculation only.

There is more than a slim chance that the investigation information was leaked by the Clinton loyalists in order to do as much damage to Kerry as possible. Slick might advise Kerry to "put some ice on that."
